Ever won anything of value?

I think that the only thing that I've won in the last decade or so, was the Classic FM at the movies, cd set. Which is hardly awe inspiring.

Once won 4 times in a row on scratch cards.

£100 -> £50 -> £150 -> £20

Not bad when each card is £2 :D I also didn't buy all four of them at once!

That's pretty much it though.

A bottle of JD for getting "letter of the month" in a computer game mag about 12 years ago. All that actually came was a soggy box full of broken glass :(

What was funny was that they printed my letter the previous month too - only it wasn't letter of the month then. must have have a rubbish selection when I "won" :D

I won a computer magazine competition back in the early 90's and my prizes were a copy of Borland Turbo Pascal programming language and Compsoft Delta 5 database & front end development platform, which was perfect considering I was using an intel 8086 system with 256Kb of ram back then, as Delta 5 was fast as hell and Turbo Pascal allowed inline assembler code.

They were the days.

I never win anything but my Dad always wins loads at charity tombola's and the like. He'll frequently buy 5 or 6 tickets and win 3 or 4 prizes ... gets a bit embarrassing at times and he normally tells them to put the prize ticket back in again. I have yet to convince him to try doing the lottery.

A Nike ACG jacket worth about £150 I think in a raffle. It doesn't fit me and I nobody seems to want it :(

I also won Aliens on VHS from Mark & Lard's graveyard shift Radio 1 show years ago. Mark Kermode read out my name on air wootwoot!

Not money but something that is way more important for my life and 13 years to retirement.
On November 3rd I received a Nursing Times Award Finalist certificate that I collected at the Hilton in London and on Friday evening I received a local NHS Staff Award but couldn't collect it because I was gigging.

£16 on the National lottery for getting 4 numbers.
£10 on a Scratch Card
and at the age of 11 or so won a bottle of sherry and 6 sherry glass in a raffle :/

and $36 playing in a freeroll poker tournament last night
