£8k on a Daily Mail competition years ago, you used the pools scores and matched them against a playing card. I was only 12 at the time and used to spend about 2hrs every sunday morning going through all the cards i got, was at it for about 5 months before winning (i worked as a paper boy and my mates dad owned a paper distribution business so got loads from them each sunday). Ahhh, what you can do with £8k when your twelve, well, nothing actually as my tight arse of a father claimed the prize and kept the money! Nice!

A few years ago I won 2 return flights to South Africa.

I won a 42" LG 1080P TV through work, I work in a electronics super store and over the world cup they had a competition, sales = goals and every 10 goals you got an entry into the pot to win (or something like that) I got enough goals to saturate the pot and I won!

But, I had just bought myself a kickass 32" TV for myself - so I gave this TV to my parents as a thank you

I once won just shy of £8k on a 50p roulette table on a works night out.

Work decided to go to the casino for a night out and gave us a bar tab and £20 chips each. Messed about the roulette table for a few hours and found myself up almost £300

I was getting pretty excited and wanted to keep playing but everyone else was fed up and wanted to go to some more bars.

Asked one of my collegues to pick a number, she picked 23, plonked most of my chips on it and almost wet myself when it came up.

Apart from that, I got 4 numbers on the lotto a few months back - a measly £16 prize!! Hardly worth it..

my aunt got 5 numbers and won just over £800

I play online roulette, I went to put a chip on zero(real play with money) and forgot I'd earlier been playing with the play money and put £100 instead of £1....hit spin before crying as I noticed the wrong colour of chip on it....had a se* wee when it dropped in and I got £3600
