Everquest combine progresive server beta

Interesting! rather like the concept of it actually and I'm between MMGs at the moment.

Will sign up and see what it's like, 11am DMT (when the beta opens) is 5pm GMT I think?

Anyone that gets into the beta post here with your character name we could start a guild up.
 
I got on the beta late last night :)

11am PDT = 7pm :)

I'm messing about with a few different characters at the moment but aiming to settle with a Troll Shaman which is what I used to play on EQ about 4-5 years ago.
 
I got stupidly lucky. I was sitting there 7 till 8 and there were problems with sign ups. Came back at 11.30-11.45ish and tried the link and it just worked :eek: Couldn't believe my luck!
 
Yeah, had to run the test server patcher and it downloaded a fair amount of stuff. Only took about 20mins on my 2mb connection but that might be because I was fully patched up from earlier in the day.
Bought the game again just for this :o
 
Haly do you need an active subscription to EQ to sign up, do you need all the expansions (or will you have to buy them all in the future if you don't have them?)

I'll probibly play a dorf cleric called Hathral if history is anything to go by :)
 
You only need the expansions as and when they are unlocked on the server, its a progression server, not sure if you need an active subscription though.
 
I'm not 100% sure how long the sign ups go on for, as last night there was a problem so it didn't start at the original time planned. But there is a certain time length to it, just not sure what it is.
The sign ups start at 7, finish at some point then return at 12. It'll be easier to know after tonight as all should be working fine then :)

You do need an active subscription to it, if you buy the game you get a 30 day trial anyway.
Expansion wise: As it's a progression server, all you need is the basics for now. As the expansions are unlocked it's your call for if you'd like to experience them basically.

I know the Sony store (https://store.station.sony.com/digitalDistribution/base/en/download_view.jsp) at the moment has EQ with 7 expansion packs for $20 to download. Which is how I got it.
 
I've still got my old account with a fair few expansions on it so may revive that. Wondered if because it's a beta it would be free so you only needed an active sony station account rather than a paid subscription.
