Looks like there is a lot of cost cutting with the RTX5000 series IMHO. Defective dies being shipped,penny pinching on the cards power delivery systems,etc.

Not really surprising when AIBs get chips days before the cards need to go on shelves. Early adopters are the testers.

Now Nvidia have admitted the mistake with ROPS missing is their fault I think you need to make that number 1 in your list OP.
I wonder what they are going to do with all the cards that are returned?

Until it explodes due to penny pinching on the PCB and power connectors. Thenyou are left using the integrated graphics on your CPU,as there isn't enough production to even fill pre-orders!

I bought a KF CPU without integrated graphics because sometimes you can run into problems with software using the wrong GPU and now I regret it due to all this nonsense.

Guys, no need to worry about missing ROPs. The driver can detect faulty chips and will notify you AT ONCE that you should begin the RMA process. This is absolutely a thing Nvidia will do, I'm sure of it.

TBF,it's useful to have a back-up card of some sort to tide you over. Because I had a Ryzen 7 5700X,I made sure I got an el-cheapo one.

Which ever you plug your monitor into will be used.

Or just disable the onboard one in the bios but at least it's still there if you need it

That's not true, there have been several AAA games fairly recently that had bugs due to multiple GPUs. Disabling it in the bios is the best option though.

Nvidia give you a multi purpose solution.

graphics acceleration, campfire in PC, collectors edition (reduced ROPS), elements of suspense (is it going to blow up, or melt?) and routes to bankruptcy, may have missed a few things.
