Apart from everything else that's wrong with this launch -- and there's a lot -- the thing thay gets me is that nV obviously, 100% knew about the ROP issue and still chose to ship those chips. The defects being missed in rounds of very precise validation testing is so incredibly, infintesimally small, it's not even worth considering. Someone at nV (and AIBs) consiously decided, after seeing these chips were defective, to say "we're shipping them to consumers anyways".
