***EVGA P55 thread***

skodamart: I went for the 750 and 2x2gb of patriot sector 5 2000c8 memory.

Now if only xp would install... Keeps bluescreening on startup after hanging on the windows set-up screen. :(

Try pressing the bios reset button on the I/O panel.
Enter the bios, and set the time etc, press F9 to load optimised defaults. You must then configure your hard drives, I suggest changing from IDE to Raid (even if you won't be using raid yet, as this will allow you to use it in the future without problem) I also disable full screen logo.
Restart and press F11 to enter the boot menu, and boot to your XP DVD drive.

Take it from there and good luck!

As soon as you get into Windows I would update your bios.

BIOS version A58

Adds additional ratios for 32nm CPU's

For Windows XP, Vista or 7 32Bit run AFUWIN32.BAT
For Windows XP, Vista or 7 64Bit run AFUWIN64.BAT.

Again make sure you load defaults in BIOS before updating

That would mean a new psu too, and I really wanted to get a 1080p 120Hz monitor next, this Samsung is just too small!

I tell you what, you buy my remaining 55nm 260 from me and I'll consider it :p

Hi
I have a P55 F.T.W and I suspect that the bios will need updating to be able to use the memory that I have 1.35v
I have not built it yet so how do I update the bios without putting the memory in or is it ok to put the memory in even though the mobo is not set up for it.

Thanx
