Evil Genius

Someone please tell me how i train guards or technicians! Can't remember what to do :(.

You need to build training rooms, you may not have them at the start can't quite remember. But yeah, build a training room then assign them to be trained using a menu. Iirc the menu is accessed by clicking the picture of two men standing next to eachother to the right of your funds.

When you start off, you can only build workers.

You then need to capture and interrogate skilled civilians to learn new abilities.

You start by interrogating a maid that is wandering on your island.

Guard and Technician can be captured through the World Domination screen through an Act Of Infamy.

When you aquire this knowledge, you then have one of these classes. You then build a training room and the required training aids for the class, and your original tech/guard becomes a teacher for your workers.

Yep just got guard and technicians now :). Training room is already sorted. Feezer room is filling up so quickly had to buy a new one and am skint now :(.

Good fun, nice British bond parody humour, but after 4-5 hours became a bit too repetitive for me.

man i loved this game, i laughed my behind off when i engaged the super weapon, to this day i still impersonate the little bald supercriminal and jubei is the man

miniaturizing the eiffel tower man, classic

Reinstalled this a couple of days ago, just got to the 2nd island and getting munched by super agents before my base is even built =/

I have doors but they seem to be able to wander through them at will.

You have to set the lock to 'friendlies only'. I forget how you do that.

Where's this fan made patch you speak of skippi? Trying to find it to no avail, i now see why i was struggling with the game so much having read about the 'negative influence' henchmen give in certain situations.

Yeah i have, quite often i still see agents wandering i the corridors which is why i went overboard on the killing. Maybe they snuck in when i was low on power though. Shall keep a closer eye on it tonight.

Yeah i have cameras and alarms just they dont always seem to get auto tagged. Any point in having more than 1 security desk?

yeah you can have 2 or 3 different security zones,
i.e.
1 outer security zone with outside security cameras and traps

2 first inner security zone with less than lethal traps(wind blower and confusion traps and such)

3 2nd inner security zone with lets say more than lethal security traps

then each desk will be auto assigned to the zones and you need to manually assign the cams/alarms and be sure to put 1/2/3 alarms in the barracks as that is where the buld of your security force will probably be and to the guy who is playing the game with screenies at the start of the thread, when you get to soldiers set the door to the inner sanctum to 4 that way youll be able to see armed guards standing to attention every time you go in, its a bit of an ego trip but hey what is the game about

just send valets(or higher of the same class) to confuse them and they will loose interest

all this talk is getting me interested again, i might reinstall it:)

Read about it in the Wikipedia article.

Will look for it today as the official patch only made things worse.

I loved this game, it's truly an ingenious and original game, and I spent many hours on it, but never got past the 1st island :(

I'm close to getting to the 2nd Island now after numerous restarts.

Red Ivan is a pain in the arse. If he's firing in the vicinity of any of your minions/traps/buildings he either kills them or sets them on fire.

I remember permanently keeping Ivan out on the world map helping with missions, he's just too much of a liability in your own base.

He's great if you need to take out a group that are wandering about away from your base.

I.E. the south side of my island is empty so if I spot a group snooping, I'll send in Ivan.

Other wise, I try and keep him busy walking around deep in the base.
