** EVO TYRE TEST 2012 **

Should you really be scanning/copying magazines and posting them on this forum? Copyright, ladies?

Good point, I think I will take it down.

OP, mind if I repost your link to the pdfs over in the tyre section of Z4-forum.com?

Recently upgraded to Asymmetric 2s myself so am happy to read the results of this tyre test!

Sorry, I think alex has raised a valid point.

PDFs gone now.

Tell me about it, staggering that 40mm more width doubles the price

Well its 14 months since I bought the same size for my Mondeo and it's 10% cheaper now, when does that happen these days? Can't beat a price war and makes me fret why manufactures use obscure sizes, but I guess it depends on different market priorities.

I'm very happy with my F1A2's now - I see far less of the DSC light than I did with the CS3's. Not that this is a particularly useful metric of tyre performance but it's about the best I've got :p

Can't wait to get my F1A2's fitted - after coming from worn RE050A runflats, i hope it's going to feel like i'm glued to the road.

I will miss the feedback the Bridgestones give though. In the dry, on good tarmac, they are one of the best tyres i've had.

How far did you let yours wear before changing, I was easily below 2mm and could really feel it.

Probably not only because I have CS3 on the front rather than because they are better than the Goodyear as I doubt they are noticeably better.

I was a bit worried I should have gone for the csc5s, and am really surprised fox didn't! He's more of a conti fan than I am.

The F1A2s were cheaper and I got club card points (easily pleased - free pizza express!).

The cs5's feel slightly better in the wet, particularly when trying to put the power down or if you plant your foot mid corner, other than that both are equally matched in my view.

Just ordered a pair of CSC5's for father's Focus ST, he wants to keep same manufacturer as original, though the Pirelli's are cheaper
