Seems to be more of the same tbh, though I did find the powered armoured section quite fun.

I might buy it, though I can see it having the same effect on me as the original, starts off fun and scary, then things start to get reptitive and predictable, then I just want to finish the game for the sake of it.

I'll see what the reviews say.

Well it wont work for me, perfectly fine specs to play it, works in FEAR 2 safe mode, but wont work normally. Just black screens and sits there doing nothing. Have to hard reset, oh well.

Im gonna wait till tomorrow when i dl it, cant wait though looks really good. Im so getting it, even though i aint triend the demo i may just order it on steam when allowed.
Whats the actual date then, i know its febuary i heard its gonna be the 12th?

Its a tad of a shame for ppl playing it on a non widescreen monitor like me, cos you cant change the display to 4:3, its always in widescreen. :mad:

I don't understand why they have bothered with the permanent 16:9 resolution.

Played through it earlier, and although it's been dumbed down a bit (lack of mouse in inventory section, 16:9 everywhere), there were still several moments that made me shout "OH, HOLY ****!!!"

Feels a bit like TimeShift crossed with Condemned crossed with Fear.

Yep, I too thought it reminded me of condemned - th graphical style. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Doubt it will be quite as good as the first but from that demo I'd say it almost will be. Still damn good. There were several moments where I jumped, no other game does that to me. I ran it with everthing on maximum and it played very well. Can't wait. Hopefull this will play as well on ati cards like the first one did.

Ah, I just found out that Condemned and FEAR both used the LithTech Jupiter EX engine, as does FEAR 2. That would explain that one then

OMGWOW. Just played through the demo and I loved it. To me, it looks like I'm actually playing through a movie, the graphics are stunning (Everything full/on and 4xAA, 1920x1200). Got some very over the top horror sections which do feel very supernatural and a few parts that made me jump!

Might buy this
