F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin Demo OUT N ABOUT

I dont know about eurogamer, some games they get spot on and others I've read in the past I just haven't agreed with. I'm hoping they were playing FEAR Perseus Mandate by accident

Let's face it - they gave FC2 94% and the quote of "By God, it's incredible" plastered on the box. Do you think they're reviewing games based on what they actually think of the game itself?

i read it, thought it was a load of rubbish. Slating it for not being original, what games are nowadays? Also marking it down for using health packs :confused: he'd rather it use a regen system at a lot of games are adopting ?? I know im glad it doesnt use that
 
Ive got mine preordered on steam, and im gonna make sure i only play it at night, with my headphones on and the lights out:D
Itll probably only take about 3 nights to finish if i play it 2 hours a night, but thats long enough for me:)

Terrible seems a bit harsh, bland I would say :o I got so far and realised things werent going to get any better or different. Anyway this resulted in a lack of completion of demo due to yawnsomeness....which personally is a first.
 
I thought the demo was good, but have cancelled my preorder.

Mainly because I've just reinstalled the original Fear, and thinks it amazing! I only played thru it once when it first came out in 2005, and then forgot about it. But now I have better hardware in my pc I can run the original with all the graphics physics and sound on max, plays bloomin great! :) So not much point in buying Fear 2 yet..

This game will unlock in approximately 1 day and 23 hours.

Taken straight from Steam. I'm really looking forward to it, really enjoyed the demo, more of an atmosphere to this one than the original, I felt it played more with my mind.

Just trying to complete the first one again before I get this off steam, it's still such a good game.
 
Yeah, it's apparently 12GB, and then if you install the steam version, it takes an hour to patch, even at 1024kb/s. Gay, gay, gay. If it's that bad I won't be able to play until Saturday.
 
Just played the demo through on full settings, seems ok but i'm trying to put my finger on what i don't like.. I think it's the severe amount of flashy thigns on screen. When you fire your gun it's almost like you're temporarily blind! It's certainly pretty enough though, and you really dont notice the grain thing they've got going on.

However, i really disliked the Crysis demo and ended up loving the game, so i'l probabaly give the full thing a go :)
 
How similar is this to the first game? Enjoyed the first few hours of FEAR but got bored of the slow-mo pretty quickly and the bland level design not long after. Don't think I can be bothered if it's just a different story with nicer graphics.
 
www.play.com have it for sale already yet game says it isnt released.

NA = released on 10th
EU = 13th

Anyone actually played the full game yet (obviously legit copies)???
