Or he could just change teams at the end of the year. It wouldnt surprise me, as he is a very determined individual. I'm sure most teams would be happy to have him.

I imagine his mclaren deal is a very very long one.
Didnt Button have a contract with Williams when he moved to BAR?
And didnt Alonso have a 2 year deal with McLaren, when he left after 1 year?
Unfortunately, contracts mean very little in sport.
I think this year, we might see Hamilton's loyalty tested and maybe we will find out just how ambitious he is.
Iam totaly gutted with the brawn gp performance. Not because its bad but because i ve always been a honda fan. My first car and bike were hondas, old 1988 civic and a cg125. Would have loved to see honda win things again. after seeing the performance of the new brawn car i wonder if alonso will rue not signing for honda. Still its shaping up to be a good season of F1

Although I think he'll stay at McLaren, the only other option I can see would be BMW.Where in all reality would he go?
Ferrari: No space there as the next opening will probably be for Alonso. I also don't think he'd be a fit there.
BrawnGP: Who knows if they'll be around in 2010 and even competetive with a massively reduced budget.
Renualt/Toyota: Both parent companies are expressing doubt about competing for much longer according to reports.
Any of the others: With the exception of BMW and perhaps Williams (if they can get back on form) they are, in all likelyhood, not going to produce a WDC winning car any time soon.
Perhaps when Webber retires or moves on from RBR (the only other team I think has a shot in the next few years) he could go there - but if Vettel is as good as everyone thinks he is you'd have clash of drivers - it always seems that a team does better with a stellar driver and a support driver than it does with two superstars.
If he wants a good chance of getting another WDC or two then McLaren are his only hope as things currently stand.

Damn Roger Barrichello is just under a second faster than the rest.
Also, looks like Mclaren may have have got the speed sorted out a little. The car still seems to be best of the rest and not the lead runners.
Hamilton now in the mid 1.19's, so they've clawed some performance back, but I don't think it's going to be enough.
Hamilton was previously this time under the 1:20 dolphin, the world is not the fourth and last longer.
I wonder how much of McLaren's problem is down to the inexperience of their driver lineup. Race speed is one thing, and Hamilton certainly has that, but the ability to give good technical feedback for development is another and that, it seems, takes longer to develop.
Any reason for me to watch this year - been depressed with F1 for ages now and when talking to friends about F1 it leads to little, or no excitement...
Hell it was only posting/debating on the OcUK F1 race threads that kept me going last season - Im sure no one will miss me posting if I stopped watching it ...
ps3ud0
Haha, yeah some of the translatios are quite funny. Car = wagon etcfrom the testing times site
what a great sentance
Aww you can't give up now - we have slicks, less down force, an underdog team doing well... Even watching Massa in the rain can't keep you watching??Any reason for me to watch this year - been depressed with F1 for ages now and when talking to friends about F1 it leads to little, or no excitement...
