What an utterly brilliant fun game, I ran the rich fuel mix for the last 5-6 laps (20% race) and half way round the last lap I started to run out of fuel and had no rear traction as the tyres were shot, then got shunted off the racing line round the last corner at Melbourne into the wall and totaled the car. Not a great end to the race but what fun it had been to get that far.
 
Found a glitch this evening that needs sorting. If you lap someone around the DRS zone then I found that they would open their wing and try to get back past you. Obviously very stupid and pointless and needs addressing!
 
if they are 1 second behind at the DRS line then they can use DRS, lapped or not that's the rules :)

I had Pastor Maldonado using the DRS after the first corner on Melbourne during a race, Pretty sure the DRS zone ends at the end of the pit straight though. :confused:

Only seen it happen once, I blocked him for using it. :D
 
What codies really need to sort out is the inability of AI drivers whilst doing qualifying runs or lapping backmarkers. They will not give up the racing line at all, if they do they move out of the way and then as the corner approaches turn in REALLY sharply. I have nearly lost 2 races because of this utter nonsense, with Maldonado (har har) doing it to me first then Liuzzi in the HRT.

Pretty disappointing.
 
I'm finding wet qualifying very tough at the moment. Feel like i really need a wheel to put any good times in.

I wouldn't worry too much mate, another thing that seems a bit unrealistic is the performance from the AI drivers in the wet. For example last night won around canada in my force india on professional difficulty after qualifying in 16th position.

Ended up winning by 20 seconds or so. Playing with TCS off though, it's for pussies quite frankly.
 
AI seems a bit hit and miss when it comes to letting you pass. Quite a few times I've been lapping someone, they move away from the racing line to let me pass, but then just as I'm about level with them they cut back onto the line. :/

Yeah, i qualified 18th but got to 3rd on the first few corners. :p
 
Am I the only one who finds corner cutting to be ridiculously unpredictable? Sometimes you can have all 4 wheels off the track and not get anything for it and other times you can have 1 or 2 wheels off and you get penalised..

I might be up for some online play soon(Xbox) if I can get some stuff sorted.

Yup it's ridiculous. After the first long right corner on China, there's an immediate left and if you marginally cut that you're told off for corner cutting!
 
Been playing for several hours since getting it today and starting to notice a very annoying things so I'll list them here.

10 place penalties:

These seem to be handed out WAY too easily, I got 1 for smashing into someone(This was the only fair one) then I moved onto the Grass to let some cars past just after the incident, one of them sat at the edge of the road just behind me and I got a 10 place penalty for blocking... Then in another practice session I went a bit too quickly and a bit too wide into the pits and smashed into side at the entrance to the pits, my car rolled backwards but nobody was on track yet I STILL got another 10 place penalty. It means I now have a 30 place penalty going into quali, so no point me taking part.

Wheel disconnects:

At first I thought it was a problem with the wheel I bought, but as I kept playing and it kept happening I noticed a trend, the wheel was only disconnecting at certain corners. I did numerous laps in practices at Melbourne and the wheel constantly disconnects at the corner before the pits, it has happened occasionally at other places on the track but this is the main one, does anybody else get this problem?

This wheel from the "Number 12 please come to the collection point please" place for the 360.

I realised it only happens when I twist the wheel the whole way round, which only happens on the one corner I was talking about because it is a tight corner.

Another thing I have noticed is that the AI never seem to get in trouble for their actions, one AI tried to get past me so I put my car across to cover the gap, a bit of contact and I get in trouble. Now exactly the same happens except I was trying to get past, the AI takes my front wing off and doesn't get anything for it...

Sounds like it might be a fault on the wheel to be honest, if you turn the wheel all the way round away from that corner does it still do it?
