F1 2011 Online league?

Catman makes a very good point about keyboards. In F1 2010 you could be unbelievably fast with keyboard, which IMO is just ridiculous, though I do understand why Codies made it that way (to cater to as many players as possible).

I can't say I'd be too interested playing against folks who have no feathering of the throttle, brake or steering. I'm sure I'll get jumped on for that, but I just think if you're going to play a racing game, it's utterly pointless without throttle, brake and steering control. You should, as a minimum, have a pad.

This sounds awesome but I can't drive for ****.
:D Don't forget, everyone will be starting from scratch in terms of the handling. I guess knowing every corner of all the tracks will help significantly in getting you up to speed though. As stoke1863 says, it's probably best to give everyone 2-3 weeks of solid practice before starting the league.

I'm sure most of you already know, but for those that don't, the only assists which carry weight penalties will be Traction Control and ABS.

anuraj - What areas do you think you will need help in? Mainly braking points? Track guides? Setups? The first two are no problem, but spot on car setups will probably take the RD guys at least a couple of weeks.

The listed above. thanks if you are willing to help.

Your reward is me telling you that there is a show about tall people called superhuman.

Ordered this on the PC this year.

I'm interested in joining in but I'm probably in the same boat as Anuraj in skills :(.

On a side note, can you use the MS 360 wheel on the PC?

Don't take this as gospel, as I'm no expert, but a quick search on Google suggests that it can work in Windows but you need to buy the Wireless Gaming Reciever (http://www.microsoft.com/games/en-U...es/XboxWirelessGamingReceiverforWindows.aspx/) but even then you won't get any force feedback due to an issue with xInput API. In 2008 Microsoft promised they would fix this issue for Vista; they never have and have no intention to do so in the future.

I have the wireless gaming receiver (picked it up ages ago but haven't used it yet).

If a new thread is going to be made for when the season is going to start then you can ignore this for now...

Might want to add a list of names in the OP and what skill group they believe they are (Rookie, Intermediate and Advanced).
