on the evidence merc driver i am really 50/50 on!

if RBR make it i will have to be impressed!

or it could be the best troll ever by renault+RBR
 
So for most of last season the Hamilton fans were keen to tell us how much better he was than Rosberg. Now it looks like he might have a winning car you are all falling over yourselves to predict Rosberg.

Why? Based on what evidence?

I think Rosberg is under rated by I see nothing to suggest he's going to be fav over Hamilton for a title unless it comes down to reliability. Hamilton is more comfortable in the team now, Rosberg is now at the same starting point as him with the car. Hamilton has already been in a title battle and won it.

If Rosberg beats Hamilton to the title when the car works then Hamilton is sadly not half as good as I thought he was.
 
Prediction
WDC: Hamilton
WCC: Mercedes

Wish
WDC: Alonso
WCC: Williams

I think red bull will sort their issues out sooner rather than later and they'll be up there at the top by the middle of the season but i'm unsure if they'll be able to catch up in time to get the title.
 
Everyone's prediction in the thread is of course on the assumption that Max Chilton will walk the WDC and we're really talking about 2nd place.
 
Hoping that Mercedes and Lewis will do the business, but reliability is going to be important and the double points will (I fear) play a massive role in the WDC.
 
Lewis and Mercedes.

Lewis has the skill and, for the first time in years, it looks like he will have the car. I expect the title battle to be fought with Ferrari and McLaren.

Two other predictions: Kimi will beat Alonso, whilst Mclaren's new boy will start beating Button around race 8 and be clearly the better driver by season's end.
 
I love how Massa sets one fast time and now people are predicting he will win. Even if you ignore the fact that in recent years Williams have made somewhat of a habit of showing form in testing only to then have a dismal year, do people really think a glimmer of speed puts him ahead of the Mercedes duo, or the skills of Alonso and Kimi, or the unstoppable force of RBR?

Williams will be mid field at best. Massa will be scrapping over the minor points positions.

He's a chimp but I feel that so much could come down to reliability this year he's worth a stupid £5 or £10. Even better if he manages to win it because of the dumb double points rule. I'd laugh for a month if someone 40 odd points behind wins the title against Hamilton because of him DNFing and them winning the race. All hell would break loose :D (Disclaimer I want Hamilton to win this year).

In seriousness I think it will come down to Vettel or Hamilton.

I don't know about the first two, but "the unstoppable force of RBR" has been stopping every couple of laps.
