He did. And then he underperformed even that car. If F1 was a limbo contest, he'd totally be the winner.

I'm going to throw a wildcard.

Perez and Force India.

Perez was impressive at Sauber, but wasnt allowed to race at McLaren. The Force India package looks fast and has the right engine.

Although, if Mercedes arent the lead team by the end of the season, do you think they might just remove a few horses from their competitors engines.

Wasn't allowed to race, pull another one, he was simply rather average and got destroyed in the simulators. Which if testing has anything to go by has now been shown on track as well. He was a bizarre choice to start with, he wasn't worthy of the seat, well he was as the car was a dog.

Actually I predict that there is a good chance Perez will be outscoring Button at the end of the season.

Oh and Ham/Ferrari.

Seen a few people reckon Mercedes (the team) have a huge advantage pace wise and weren't going all out in testing. I can quite believe it, as the other Mercedes-powered teams were nowhere last season, and all of a sudden they've caught up? Nah.

Even if Mercedes don't have a massive advantage, I really can't see anyone else winning it. Neither of the Williams drivers are consistent enough, Button will likely still have his qualifying deficit (though how important that is will depend on how big the field-spread is), Magnussen can't be expected to win in his first season, and I can only imagine Force India will fall away. Ferrari have shown nothing to suggest they've got a stellar package.
