F1 2023 Car (livery) launches

The biggest surprise of all this is Red Bull switching to Ford engines from 2026. Or at least, being part-funded by Ford to build their own engine with a Ford badge on it. That came out of left field. I thought Honda would be staying on as engine supplier with the recent upswing in RB results, plus the new Honda boss being more open to motorsport investment. Clearly not it seems, at least, not with RB anyway.

Williams launch about to begin which is the perfect time to have to go on a Teams call :( Hopefully the rumours of Gulf being their title sponsor is true as it would be nice to see Williams get a solid title sponsor for some stability.

You're not missing much - just showing Logan doing some press-ups :D

A shame they couldn’t make more of the classic Gulf colour. Do a fade from Gulf blue at the front into the Williams Blue. Why are F1 liveries so crushingly corporate?

Agreed but I would assume, by the tiny Gulf logo's, they aren't a title sponsor so Williams won't base the entire livery around Gulf.

Am I going mad or are the rear wings really low?

I know there's been some tweaks to the rules about the wings but they mostly seemed to be about closing loops holes teams were trying to exploit (Merc and AM spring to mind). There's been a raise in ride height too which could appear to lower the wing but would imagine the reference plane for measuring wing height is the floor of the car/plank (or other such fixed plane) rather than the actual ground.

The Williams is a good looking car. Pity it sucks
I mean, sure, it’s highly likely to, but as the lowest places team they’ve had more wind tunnel and CFD time than anyone else. And, no doubt, thousands of photos and hours of video of Red Bull, Ferrari etc as well.

That Alfa livery actually looks alright IMO :) Best looking paintjob we've seen so far.

But boy oh boy do I wish these cars were a bit smaller. And that there had been a more aesthetically pleasing solution in place of the halo...
