Cant find a thread for this. Early access starts today.

Ive had a quick blast, surprisingly for EA, runs like a dream at 4k, feels a lot more responsive than last years too.

Pre downloaded it and you just reminded me I should boot it up.

Had a quick go just to get a feel for it, I'm going to enjoy playing the story mode again.

I have no idea why but I buy this game ever year, play for like one evening, realise the FFB and physics still haven’t improved and then never touch it again before revertting back to iracing and ACC.

I look forward to pointlessly doing the same again this year.

I keep on checking back every year to see if it has proper 3 screen support

then go back to Iracing, rfactor 2, AC/ACC

i would say this year it drives better, the rotation of the car in previous years always felt very sluggish, im just going through the story mode at the moment but the racing has felt much more fun, im not a huge player, i play on joypad too but im enjoying it.

Where’s the cheapest to get this from? Not really fussed on launcher. So can be origin or stream
You can get a CD key for the EA app for £45
Or alternatively EA pro subscription to make sure you like it 14.99 for the month and access to a whole host of their other games and you basically get ultimate edition unlocks I believe this way.

Only an option :) glad I did it this way as I ended up loving Star Wars Jedi Survivor but finding their new golf game mediocre (which I would have paid full price for otherwise)

and then of course the access to F1 early didn't hurt either.

Well i got it from STEAM and then refunded within couple of hours. Cars do handle better than last year but the FFB is still lifeless, I guess that's never going to change and im stupid for even bothering to check if it has !

Probs a good game if you're not neckbeard simmer, my mate says it's way more intuitive on a joypad now and is loving it so it's obviously doing somthing right this time around (he hated F1 22).

On a side note why is the Anti Aliasing always so bad in the F1 games? It doesn't matter what AA method you choose everything looks messy and I always have to use DSR to upscale to 4k just to make it not look awful.

Stick an f1 23 mod on ac or ams2

Sounds like this is much better on a joypad than F1 22. F1 22 was horrible, and the cars just felt like they were on ice. It was also obviously unrealistic looking at the throttle input stuff for real F1. Real cars have far more grip than the game cars had.

I will still wait for it to come to Gamepass though (hopefully by the end of the year).

yes it is so much better, you can turn the car this year, you can catch drifts its immensively more playable.

That's good to hear. I might actually enjoy it then.

Had to go back to F1 21 after 22 as I just found it too frustrating with a controller. I just laughed during my first race in the wet on 22. Was ridiculous.

I'm really enjoying this year's game in terms of physics, it's much better on the controller and I can actually play with TC off now :)

I do feel that I need to adjust my difficulty to 90% now, as I was playing 85% in 2022 and it was a challenge with TC, but now there is more grip I'm getting P7 with Albon, so I need more of a challenge, I'll even turn flashbacks off!

Only done single races, but I do like the 35% races, it's the perfect amount for me. I hope I can do this distance in the story mode as well.

P7 with albon seems 100% correct this week :)
