Its amazing how much better the driving/handling is in this compared to 2022
How on earth did they **** up 22 so badly? 20 and 21 were great. I didn't play 22 for very long at all and went back to 21 for my F1 fix.
In 22 (all assists off) It felt like there was no downforce, starts were impossible, wet weather was impossible, AI was loads faster on the straights for no reason etc etc. I just absolutely hated playing it. It just didnt feel or seem realistic. It is quite obvious from watching real races/on-boards that F1 cars have far more traction and grip than F1 22 modelled.
I am so glad they fixed it for 23. The cars actually feel like they have the grip and downforce of an F1 car through medium and high speed corners, and wet weather driving is much more manageable and doesn't feel like an ice rink. Low speed corners are still tricky with a controller, but its a good level of challenge, and it feels right that they are squirrelly when relying on mechanical grip.
Braking Point 2 is pretty good too, and i dont normally like the story modes.
