F1 25 - path tracing!!!

Well I own it, done about 3 hours and I think it’s great,

I also have ac, acc, ams2, ac evo and LMU. So I’m comparing it with them and I’ve had most of the previous f1 games apart from 24.

I use the controller and I’m not very good.

Just remember it’s only a game.

My main issue with f1 games is that it sucks on a wheel.

Is there noticeable difference in handling model from F1 24 to F1 25?

Yes, just had a go on time trial and it's more like 23 than 24. Biggest thing for me is there wasn't an option anymore for engine breaking in with the dif settings. I hated this on 24 as I would always lock the rears under heavy breaking.

Didn't change to many settings tho and it still felt more twitchy than 23, so that is more like the 24 handling.

This is all with a controller mind

I don’t have 24, but I prefer 25 to what I recall of 23

At the end of the day it’s an f1 car experience on a pc with a controller so who knows what is realistic.

I’ve found it works, my first race as Lando, qualified on pole, made a mess of the start and lost a front wing end plate at the second corner, ended up second with Max winning by 15 seconds, seems reasonable to me lol.

Sounds pretty realistic to me then :)

VR implementation is still very poor for me. Performance has increased but the graphics are still very blury at distance and it looks like a ps2 game compared to the F125 mod for Automobilista 2 which is crystal clear and performs great.

I've been looking into the crashing a bit more and it's Path Tracing that causes it. When it's disabled with all other RT on it is stable.

There is a bug report on the EA site for the weirdness in the cars and track with PT on. Its putting light underneath the tyres which is making it look a bit odd.

Is it just me or the vids some have posted the only thing that looks sharp and detailed is the car, the grass and trees all look blury when they drive, doesnt look that nice to me. Unless its motion blur at work or just cos ur at speed but even when they slow down for the u bends it all still looks blury especially the grass.

Tho i dont play f1 games but is that normal?

Thinking of picking this up soon, does it perform well? and whats handling like on a controller please? some of the vids ive seen on the tube it looks nice, there does seem to be a little blur though like skeeter mentioned but i love racing games and havent played one for AGES!
