I don't quite get it either :D

My 1st driver is a bit rubbish. My 2nd driver (sarah rainer) is much cheaper, but is quite good. I've had her racing for me last season as well.

I make sure I'm quite agressive with my qualifying, and pit strategy. I know I'm not fastest, but I reckon that trying to qualify as well as possible puts me in a better position for the race, then try to keep position with when I pit.

I am using the ferrenzi chassis, but slowly building my own, and my own engines, which should be ready in a couple of races.

I'm considering signing up for a pro account so that I can have a test track. Should be achievable soon, as I'm about 6million in profit each race due to getting some good sponsors last season when I won both championships.
 
just a heads up you can only get a test track when you have lvl 5 HQ

/edit also... what are your driver motivation? a drive with 100 motivation will be like 0.3-0.4 seconds a lap faster than a carbon copy with low motivation
 
Back on form last night, that's secured me the championship. I'm a bit stuffed now, can't devlop engine and no where near enough money fir hq5 and tthen reaserch. However only 3 components of my own chasis.

Really enjoying this game, slowly developing own chassis (using Fer atm), and my engine is just about 100% on all stats now. Seem to regularly qualify well, just can't get race strategy right. Hopefully better next season.

Thanks, improvement mostly due to switching to Ferrenzi chassis midway through, as mine was still pap. Will be with that for about another season whilst I get mine up to a similar level. Engine going well tho, and 2 decent drivers next season (1 good, 1 pap this yr).

Only been playing it a couple of weeks (thx to this thread), but is excellent. Quali getting much better now, but desperate for that first win - need the 4* sponsors cash :)
 
Same here, been playing for 2 or 3 weeks, just about to finish my second season which I've dominated. Using Ferrenzi chassis and engine and maverick tyres. Own chassis is a season at least away, but have 5 star HQ etc for the basics and making 7m a race at the moment.

Picked up a manager trait that has a -2 talent modifier thou :(
 
total income is about 10m (kicked off a sponsor to make way for another next race) with 3.5m a race expenses
 
my expenses will go up next year as I have a third driver and a mor expensive one as well but thats maybe 300K give or take.

3 of my sponsors generate more than 6m between them. I also have +15% on sponsor income ;)
 
That makes sense I only get 1.8 I went for speed bonuses on advanced research and engine and too -10% income. So when I finally get it, I should zip along.
