Feels like these newer circuits are built on the cheap, don’t recall this many problems with longstanding ones.

To be fair we've been racing in Bahrain since 2004, its hardly a new circuit now; there's been plenty of issues with older tracks from time to time (with kerbs especially)

I think the problem is more that circuits like Bahrain are barely used. It hosts about two events a year and sits idle the rest of the time. Circuits like Silverstone are constantly getting checked and maintained because there are all sorts of different events run there across the year.

Quite, don't where the FIA come into it though as someone else posted. They have rules and guides for the tracks but at the end of the day it is the circuit owners, clerk of the course and maintainers who are responsible. https://www.fia.com/circuit-safety
So if Hamilton’s car wasn't damaged what was all the debris coming from it when he passed Norris?

Get all excited, Sainz clocks fastest time so far, 1min30.686secs... On C4 soft tyres.

Pirelli is bringing the C1, C2, and C3 to the actual race weekend, apparently, so the C3 will be the "soft" tyre then.
