F1

Really enjoyed it, not exactly realistic but as said above it was entertaining.

I usually grade a movie on if i would re-watch it and thats a solid yes.

Enjoyed it for what it was, obviously if you watch F1 regularly you have to take it with a pinch of salt (similar to how actual fighter pilots did with Top Gun Maverick) especially with all the 'incidents' Sunny was racking up.

Did feel like Brundell / Crofty were reading off a script they'd been given without any prior notice or they reused their lines from the F1 games.

Couldn't help but think if they had made this with a different generation of cars or set it back when we had the v10 / v12 how awesome it would have sounded in Imax compared to the modern era cars (sound design was still good)

Completely agree. If you compare it to movies like Ford vs Ferrari or Rush where it was easier to make substantial improvement purely because of how simple cars were, it then doesn't detract from the story, whereas with modern cars we know how completely insane this movie was from a technical perspective.

I like that they focused on "strategy" instead of some miracle performance gain but yea, terrible movie in terms of real F1 but otherwise not the worst thing I've watched this year.

I thought their first lines were very wooden, but as they appeared again later, they'd loosened up.

I enjoyed it. Clearly designed to keep the modern slick F1 feeling than a modern rush recreation.

That said however, thinking about it, it was really weird how there was no interaction with other drivers, no radio rants etc at their expense. In retrospect the glued on extra team really stands out when you think just a little too much and is why I couldn't re-watch.

The surprise for me was how good and credible Pitt was. I think he carried it somewhat compared to the supporting cast.
