FA CUP FINAL Chelsea v Liverpool *** Spoilers ***

There's no such thing as 100% in these sort of situations, unfortunately.

I'm using the fact that the pictures suggest it didn't cross the line, and the man who's job it is to decide (and should be best positioned) didn't think it crossed the line.

Therefore in my opinion, it didn't cross the line.

Ermm ok. We'll leave it here because you seem to be changing what you're saying in every post.

We'll never know whether it went in but Carroll shouldn't have given Cech a chance.

just saw the gif at first I thought clear goal

then I saw this

not sure now

On a separate note, how in the **** did Juan Mata get motm over many other Chelsea players, or Andy Carroll? (Also does anyone think he looks like a slightly more attractive Rooney?)
I have to agree with you their I hardly heard his name said in the whole of he game and there were at least three players that were better today

All I've said is that from what I can see, it didn't seem to have crossed the line.

At first I said that it has to have clearly crossed the line to be a goal and I still stand by that fact. It cannot have clearly crossed the line.

But yes, Carroll should have buried it, he actually headed it at Cech. :p

Massive changes needed next year. Pretty obvious who needs to go.

Reina needs to get his **** together also, been absolutely **** poor at points in the season.

There were few players(chelsea side :p ) who were worse than Mata, he did nothing, useless offensively, useless defensively. He looked shattered despite in this game(and most of the other big games lately) running less and doing less than everyone else.

He's spanish, that is my reasoning for him getting MOTM. Start of the season, Silva or Mata touched the ball, fluffed a pass it was still magic. It's insane the "they're Spanish, Spain is awesome, Barca are spanish, these spanish players must be brilliant" mentality here this season.

Mata was lazy, useless and did almost nothing today. Ramires/Drogba did far far more, Ramires was quite lazy with his defending today and looked shattered, however he ran himself ragged against Barca(while Mata certainly didn't). Drogba was closing down bigger distances, more often and faster in the last 20 mins than any other Chelsea player.

Ivanovic was also insanely good today, made some incredibly good blocks and clearances and a couple fantastic tackles in the box.

Probably should have gone Drogba, maybe Ivanovic/Ramires, or Lampard, who also worked VERY hard today and his passing was frequently brilliant finding players to get the ball out when other people weren't able to.

Not the most memorable of finals I guess as neither team are capable of playing stunning attacking football but on the whole I think the better team won.
Drogba owns Wembley and when he can be arsed he's a world beater, I thought Mikel had a good game too, along with the rest of our defence, except Bosingwa.
As for Carroll's miss with the header he should've buried it but instead gave Cech the chance to make an excellent save and the lino a chance to make an excellent (and correct) decision. Quite simply the whole ball didn't cross the whole line as all the pictures, gifs & simulations show. There isn't one that shows a complete sphere with daylight between it and the line, even if there was, what goes around come around hey Liverpool?;)
Happy days :)

Correct decision was made in 05 :), would have suited us better if not given with Cech sent off and a penalty anyways :).

Great banner. :D

Correct decision was made in 05 :)...

The correct decision would mean that the whole ball definitely crossed the whole line, was that the case?
The correct decision was made today as the whole ball definitely didn't cross the whole line.

Yes, but like I said, we'd have taken the red and penalty.
Inconclusive today

Yes? As in yes it definitely crossed the line? There must be some images out there to back that up if that's the case?
It's not inconclusive today, it didn't cross the line, as all the images out there prove so it's conclusive.

I don't see where I said it was a conspiracy or anything of the likes, they simply ****ed up majorly, just like they did with Spurs, or England.

Why let facts get in the way of a good story, right?

Inconclusive today

So they ****ed up majorly yet it was inconclusive? Have you finally given up the die-hard "Us against the world" Liverpool moto and realised that it was impossible for the linesman to judge it and therefore give it as a goal..

Yeah there are, didn't you watch the match back then?

Plenty of images today to suggest it could have crossed the line too :)

I did and still to this day I haven't seen any proof that it crossed line, but that's not a problem as I'm not claiming it did.
Images that suggest it could've crossed the line?
If you've seen those fabled images why do you think it's inconclusive?
