I don't normally post here but I entirely agree that Fergie should have put on a stronger side to face Everton. However, theyu were probablt concerned about the Premier League due to both Liverpool and Chelsea's very good form of late. Berbatov's penalty was just awful though.

Having said that Everton did struggle against this Man U side. I think they will be beaten by Chelsea in the final.

Not really because it doesn't bother us. Means one less game to worry about and an extra bit of rest. If Ferguson really wanted it he would have had Giggs, Rooney, Ronaldo and VDS on the bench at a minimum.

Yeah. Ah well, fair play to Rio/Vidic if they said they'd take one, because Tevez/Scholes didn't want to. But that is a shocking way of penalties to be taken. No way in hell i'd have Berbatov first either.

Good result for Everton.
 
What an awful game. Both teams should have lost and the cup handed to Chelsea after that display. Shows once again that without Rooney or Ronaldo, Man Utd have absolutely no attacking threat.

Berbatov's pointless, Tevez puts in the effort but lacks any sort of skill. Need to get rid of both of them and bring someone in who's actually good at getting the ball in the net. The only players who looked like being a threat today were the youngsters and they're sorely lacking in experience. There were a few occasions where they should have shot but instead tried one too many passes.

Vidic was an odd choice, Ferdinand took one in the Carling Cup final IIRC. Ferdinands penalty was a good penalty too, it was a carbon copy of Giggs' from the Champions League final in terms of technique, just a great save from Howard.
 
Enjoyed the game, bloody hate penalties! Can never bring myself to watch them at Hillsborough!

Thought Fergie did alright with his team, Didn't agree with two youngsters up top, Gibson was quiet. Samba Nev's were alright.

Bloody Berba, what was he doing ? Awful penalty, Awful, sums up his season really.

Yeah, fair play if the others bottled it, but i wouldn't of thought Scholes/Tevez were the ones to bottle it like that, Berbatov, maybe!
 
Why does even a Everton Manu game on this forum have to revert back to Liverpool Manu?

I don't see it as ferguson showing little respect for us as a club, he said good things about us this week. I see it as his lower priority right now. If he club was on fire and every player chomping at the bit he would have played the better players.

Besides even the poorer Manu players would walk into our side. See Saha ;)
