FA Cup **Spoilers**

Here's a question...if this goes to pens, who takes one for Liverpool without Stevie and Torres on the pitch? Not one of our players strikes me as a natural penalty taker, maybe except Aquilani who's brand new to the team.

Oh, and what are the odds on ITV cutting to an ad break as someone scores the winner? :p

How's Aquilani been playing, only watched the last 15 minutes or so.

Been quite happy with him, he's tried a couple of things that haven't come off, but he can clearly pass, and gets forwards well too.

Do Liverpool have any subs left? Reading deserved a goal tbh, they have been the better team.

1 left, Aurelio, Spearking, Skrtel, Pacheco on the bench, can't see where they are going to create more chances from. You'd assume he'd almost certainly take Aquilani off as, he's not played 90 mins before yet has he, doubtful he'd let him play 120mins.

Then again, he's been poor anyway so maybe somewhere they can improve, not sure where Pacheco plays though and is Spearing more a holding player than offensive?

I've only watched the second half but it's been quite even but Liverpool have been better

1st half Reading were easily the better side, should have put one of their chances away, best/clearest chances of the game were all with reading.

Ha ha must be almost a year to the day that happened! Was liverpool losing that one as well :p

Pacheco's a tricky little striker, so could come on later, although heaven forbid that Rafa should have more than one striker on at once.

Spearing's a holding player who looks like an overgrown baby.

Reading totally deserved that late goal. I think we've been absolutely ****, nothing short of rubbish. With Gerrard and Torres off, the majority of the squad is now average to decent.

Personally I'd put Dani Pacheco on, someone with desire, spark and ability going forward, otherwise this is Readings win.

Would he though?

Looks good with time and space but gets caught on the ball a lot and pulls out of most tackles. Given more game time I'm sure he'll adjust to the pace of the English game and retain possession better but his lack of tackling worries me. Perhaps he's scared of getting injured again? Doesn't look like he'll make a very solid partnership with Lucas.

Pretty well, he always wants the ball, always looks forward and injects pace into the play. Incisive and smart passing too, looks like he's improving.

Edit - After reading the post above I agree he gets caught on the ball a bit and seems to think he has more time than he does, I suppose he's used to playing at a much, much more relaxed pace in Italy, sure he'll cut it out in time

We've had so much ball on the edge of their box, and nobody with the ability to do something special once they get there.

Chance Babel

Was that the Everton winner they missed? Did they cut to ad's around half the country and kept cutting between studio shots, as I seem to remember them showing the presenter who clearly didn't know the camera's were on rather than ad's. That could easily have been another game with a big screw up by ITV though.

Don't know how they win contracts to show football at any level, ruddy awful.

Yep, Dan Gosling. Think it was the 4th round, extra time. Idiots.
