Joking aside, obsessive parents who feel then feel the need to post countless updates about their children are extremely annoying. Almost as annoying as people who make Facebook accounts for their newborn children. Or pets.

Remove friend or hide all posts buttons are available. Use them.

Best advice, leave facebook....but I bet you won't.

I am not against social media, I follow things I am interested in on twitter and my close friends and family use Google Hangouts. But I got out of facebook about 2 years ago once I got the contact details of the people I had lost touch with. It served that purpose but even back then it was becomming mostly spammed farmville requests and baby photos.

Clearly it's not always possible to remove said 'friends' as they take Facebook so seriously it will be seen as a person attack on them.

Theres no need at all, i don't see game spam, or any spam, occasional advert/suggested page, but that's how they pay for it. Its just people have an in ability to hide stuff and unfriend people.
Only see what i want, only post what i want.

Ah yes sorry. I have no issues against it. I think Facebook should let people post what they want and let us decide if we want to see that or be friends with that person.

I saw last week (didnt watch it but it was on my news feed) "Guy cuts off his own ****" I clearly don't want to watch such things, and there is button i can click to hide this from my news feed...simples. I don't think this should be on facebook for my mum and sister to come across, however i don't have to watch it either and neither do they, so it doesn't bother me too much. If they are going to allow something so vile on facebook they should atleast allow some nudity to balance it out

I will not let my kids have accounts on any of the social networking sites. My sisters daughter was bullied and verbally abused by her boyfriend via Facebook! She had gotten so used to the bullying and been downtrodden by her boyfriend she thought it was normal behavior. Needless to say it was reported to the Police and he was excluded from school.

The police said they get similar complaints all the time.

This is why I don't use Facebook.

Its disgusting that videos like this are on facebook . I reported a video showing a young girl aged 13 being stoned to death for kissing a teenage boy who was not her choosen marrige partner and facebook said it did not violate there terms .
