Fake hate crime: Jussie Smollett paid two Nigerian brothers to attack him

I'm not seeing Kevin Spacey being offered roles left, right and centre now despite how good an actor he is... Yes, his behaviour was a little more extreme than this but there's definitely such a thing as bad publicity, even in Hollywood.

Yeah sure, but it depends on how they're painted in the media. As someone else pointed out, being a sex offender is hardly a barrier to being successful in Hollywood. He might become a pariah, but I could easily imagine it working out well. It might be out of his control though - I have no idea how these things work at the top of the industry.

I doubt this will impact his work unless the public themselves are vocal about it.

I suspect in his line of work quite a few people will still seem him as a victim of the “system”.

I think it has impacted where he could have been, he was a rising star, a friend of the Obamas etc.. it quite possibly was Michelle Obama who instigated the interference in the initial investigation/charges - at least it was her former Chief of Staff who was involved - the same woman who got involved in advising on the Biden and Cumo allegations too*

Certainly when the initial news broke that the suspicions that this attack was bunk seemed to have something to them the writers of his show went into full woke/SJW mode and doubled down on thier support for him. I think the Chappelle special, this guilty verdict etc.. means he's probably damaged himself in the short term at least though.

*while, ironically, serving as CEO of "Times Up" - "believe women" etc... but only if it doesn't impact your powerful political connections.

Shame we'll never know what sentence a white guy trying to incite racial hatred in such a manner would've received and whether certain areas of Chicago would now be in flames with stores offering a 100% discount on all goods.

Lmao read the full speech from the judge, it's utterly savage and I love it.

"Your very name now has become an adverb for lying... pulling a Jussie... I can't imagine anything worse than that."
