They are copies from the install folder when build 163 was the std release. I copied it another drive and renamed it. Then, using F4SE and MO2 it just works to use that. Same applied when this latest release was out, a copy of 984. Not elegant, but neither is the risk of Steam just doing Steam things and managing to update when you do not need it, or want it to...!

Is it just me, or when one saves exits and quits to desktop, does fallout take around 3 or 4 minutes to actually shut down now?
No, known bug.
What a crappy, unwanted "update" nobody asked for, breaks mods, worse performance, well done Bethesda, well done.
The way Bethesda rep is dropping Microsoft will be asking a lot of questions.
Wow, surprised it still works. I was kinda fed up at one point as I had recently installed Windows 11 and concerned that I had not backed up my MO profiles, I would NOT want to have to restart again to see and figure what mods might be applicable. For some reason, flash of inspiration at the time maybe, I had made the profiles on a spare drive. So almost 240 mods and Fallout 4 OG build 163 is good to go....

I am actually somewhat impressed by just how little they have managed to squeeze into the December patch.
They have basically managed to get round to 'fixing' the only new content they released.
So they ****** up the creations club and mods by combining the lot.
Now months after release, they've managed a patch to try to fix the bugs doing that introduced.
Amazing how utterly awful they continue to be.
