Fallout 4 possibly/hopefully

I spoke to someone at Bethesda when I was at Eurogamer, I asked if there was plans for Fallout 4 and he said "No Comment" and winked at me

I think everyone knows there is going to be a Fallout 4, but the question is when. An announcement this year with a November release next year would be immense.

I'd really like a new Fallout game but in the style of 1 and 2. I'm probably in the minority and I loved 3 but the originals were still the best for me.

Nostalgia and nothing else.

I did play both FO1 & 2 when they were released and thoroughly enjoyed them, however I've moved on and certainly couldn't play through them now.

FO3 gave me pretty much exactly what I wanted (ignoring the numerous bugs!) in terms of story, world and gameplay.

If FO4 turns out to be a lot like FO3 and NV with a bigger world and updated visuals I won't be complaining.

Yes FO3 remains one of my favourite games of all time, as do the first two. I find it a bit sad that people get really aggressive about it. Such a narrow minded attitude of something was great a decade ago, how dare you change the formula now. Guess what, it was still great.

+1 if the rumour is true.

Just finished a re-run through NV, biggest issues are the (occasional) loading failure in Win7/64 and that you can sleepwalk into the end game if not careful (and sometimes unavoidable if you've p'ed off the NCR).

If and when its officially announced I don't care what it looks like or if its out only on current gen, I will love it just as much as Fallout 3 and New Vegas I'm sure. Its always been about how it plays, the story and the atmosphere and VATS is an important part the game. More of the same please, and soon!

Thanks to some armchair detective work from eager gamers it's come to light that a trademark application for Fallout 4 has been filed in Europe.

Didn't play the first two but really enjoyed FO3 & NV and I haven't played those types of games before. Hoping FO4 is 3 on a new engine that works but same sort of missions and different routes through the game.

Exactly this, there's time where it would have been nice to play through F3 or even Skyrim as a coop.

I'd love to see a new engine as well, but yeah my votes goes for an upgraded Skyrim engine.

Its a nice engine, at least compared to the Oblivion-Fallout versions and an upgrade with more modern features would be welcomed. Its just annoying they've essentially carried the same engine since Morrowind now at the core of it .
