Fallout 4 to feature Nvidia Gameworks

Game works like everything Nvidia make is just perfect. Great effects with little to no performance loss. What's not to like about that. You just can't please some pleople.

And yet you've failed to validate why successfully since 2013, love you kiddo lol

Why would anyone not directly involved know. Do you expect him to say "well this piece of code, followed by a couple thousand lines of code quoted, is responsible, it's crappy code and makes mistakes here, here and here".

Or is he saying it because a huge proportion of the buggiest and most problematic performance games in the past 2-3 years use gameworks/physx or whatever guff Nvidia is pushing.

Correlation doesn't equal causation, but precisely how many gameworks games need to be riddled with bugs, stutter like hell, produce sub par graphics for the level of performance provided at the time of release, take AGES to fix with many games still not all that great before considering Gameworks as one of the causes isn't unreasonable... I would say several games ago it became more than reasonable.

Lol lol lol just can't stop laughing. No performance hit? Please stop it am rolling, you killing me.

I read it as someone not wanting to say it with their primary account in case they get kicked out of the graphics section :p

I'm still unclear as to what divides gpu's into entrenched camps. Can people not just buy a product without becoming a cheerleader for that brand and downplaying the "other sides" gpu's?

Love how suddenly everyone's a master programmer!

Gameworks is basically jQuery for game devs. It lets you do stupid things easily but there are some cool tech demos so who cares about the bloat.

Sarcasm detector went missing?

I see this thread followed those recent warnings by mods, looks like things will never change.
It's not sarcasm it's trolling, just check his post history. It's easy to presume things but if you bother to check then you can find the right answer sometimes.

Either way there's not much more to be said right now, seems gameworks could be a bit of a problem if it exacerbates issues with Bethesda already making buggy games (might help in that regard too if it's less buggy than the usual Bethesda stuff) but it's probably going to be a performance hit that doesn't generate too meaningful a difference overall. We'll have to wait and see before jumping to conclusions as it sounds like it's all a rumour at the moment anyway.
