Fallout 4 to feature Nvidia Gameworks

So what's going to happen if we a get a double rainbow event?
By that I mean a game with GameWorks in that doesn't run badly and a game by Bethseda that doesn't run badly/crash.

The game is already confirmed to have bugs from the leaked videos. That's why they were so upset.

Looking around at reviews it's a buggy mess. It's also apparent looking at that slide that my Fury X stands no chance maxed at 4k. If the 980ti can only manage 18 FPS and it's an Nvidia game I'm screwed.

Nothing to see here, typical Bethesda ;) Move along ;)

And regarding 4k, you need 2 cards either way for smooth gameplay in any game ;)

It might be worth reading through that guide as there are some options which tank performance for not much gain. IIRC,a reviewer was hitting around 60FPS using a GTX970:

Graphics options Texture quality, shadow quality, shadow distance, decal quality, lighting quality, godrays quality, depth of field, ambient occlusion, screen space reflections, wetness, rain occlusion, motion blur, lens flare and anisotropic filtering.
Anti-aliasing FXAA or TAA
Remappable controls Yes

Fallout 4 ran solidly—the Creation Engine's age and PC focus ensuring a wide range of customisable options ensuring solid stability. It was mostly bug free, and I only encountered a couple of mysterious crashes-to-desktop in over 50 hours of play.

Running on a beefy graphics card, it performed admirably on ultra—only occasionally dropping below 60fps while exploring outdoors. I mostly put this down to the fact that I was streaming the Starcraft 2 WCS final on a second screen at the time.

There are, however, plenty of loading screens to endure—particularly as you fast travel around the world.

I assume it was at 1080p.

The god rays setting seems to be a performance disaster. No surprise that it's the one GameWorks contribution. I genuinely can't tell the difference between the Ultra and Low settings in their comparison though. They look identical.

So you single that one out, then miss plenty of others with big drops in FPS like shadow, grass fade etc just so that you could have a dig at GW when infact there is actually **** all wrong with it and what were you expecting from 1024 rays over 64 for example a free boost ? lol

Seems to be fairly negligible as long as you don't go crazy and try enabling ultra quality.

Given the long legs Bethesda games have and the modding community that surrounds them, I'm pleased that graphical settings have been put into the game that next generation GPU's will be able to take advantage of.

I get the feeling those images are broken somehow as nothing seems to change at all.
