Fallout 4 to feature Nvidia Gameworks

No crossfire support at all :(

What even is the point in buying crossfire anymore.

And what is the point of sli then? It's not working as well.
When people start using their brains and realise that when xfire doesnt work, sli doesn't as well. When xfire works it works much better than sli. So can we stop for once moaning about this thing?

Ok, well the console version is exactly the same engine without Gameworks and lower settings/fps cap.

Not that it's all that relevant, but based on Maxwell slides from last year Nvidia does license and support Gameworks (some library features at least) for use on the current-gen consoles. They would have likely carried out targeted optimizations for the GCN arch on the consoles too when you think about it. If only the benefits were guaranteed to be transferable to AMD alongside Nvidia's existing arch benefits on PC. :p

not very well optimised imo, awful microstuttering on my 980ti & fluctuating framerates. Maybe a patch will fix that soon.

Have been waiting for this one for ages and i'm severely underwhelmed so far. Really hope it gets better

They mention there are a few sections where the CPU seems to be the limiting factor. It's a bit of a shame that a company the size of Bethesda that has also got this running on the consoles with their low level API couldn't have included a DirectX 12 option in this game too. Apparently they've had the engine for a while and before DX12 there was Mantle, pity they never looked at adding in some paths for low level APIs.

Lazy developers that know the fanbase will buy it regardless of what they actually release?

Some early gameplay put behind a spoiler for those that care. Performance is very good with everything maxed out and real smooth. No problems in my short gameplay thuse far and loving this game. A review coming soon for sure :)

oh FFS, 980 TI here, newest drivers - get stuck every time I use terminals and HAS TO use one to exit bunker, so can't continue game on release night FFS!!!

Using a Gigabyte 980Ti G1 with 358.91 in full screen borderless window mode. No problems at all with ultra settings. Very smooth.

You can change the colour of both the pip boy and the UI. The UI should display (by default) press TAB to exit at the bottom of the terminals. Is it possible you have set the colour of the UI to black or messed up redefining the controls?

I hope you get it sorted. 2hrs poking around vault 111 before stepping outside. Loving it so far.

Found fix - in NVIDIA console for THAT game had to disable GSYNC and turn on VSync!

This appears to be a bug due to high refresh rates, FFS - looks like developers assumed everybody got peasant console!

Who wants a bet that sli will be fixed long before crossfire though ;)
