Fallout 4 to feature Nvidia Gameworks

Going to wait till they get the game to an acceptable standard and then they can have my money.

Well I have been looking around as well and seems most of the people are not having any issues at all. I had an issue when unlocking frames (which goes against the recommended thing to do) and putting it back sorted it. I don't understand how someone can be so outspoken about something they haven't even tried. I know you dislike Nvidia with a passion but it is coming across like you have a mission.

You must be reading different threads to me then as it has been quite well noted about how some people are having to change settings in config files to get them to apply, people getting stuck on certain areas, NPC's getting stuck, heck just google fallout 4 bugs and you can see for yourself the issues.... Just like batman arkham knight, even though you had no issues with the game on release day, the vast majority of users did hence the removal from steam, announcements from WB etc.

Last time I checked, this is why we have youtube videos, review sites, user forums like this i.e. as in for people to give their experience of said item thus we can make an informed decision on the product before buying it....

Sorry but where exactly did I mention anything nvidia related in my last post that made you come out with the "I know you dislike Nvidia with a passion but it is coming across like you have a mission" comment? Is someone in damage control for nvidia and another buggy game.... Time to take the blinkers of bud.

I know you are on a mission to "stir the ****ers up" but please don't let that cloud your judgement and unlike you, I have no problems swinging both ways, I just rather not support nvidia and their practices, more so gsync and gameworks.

EDIT:

And for the record, I am not putting batman arkham knight in the same league as fallout 4 for bugs....

Played fallout 4 for 4 hours so far,no issues at all, game run really good on my old system, which is i7 920 2.66mhz cpu,6gb ram amd 7870 gpu,im using med/high settings
and getting about 40 to 60 fps, havent noticed any stuttering,im using 15.9.1 beta drivers.

Very happy with the game

Said my piece and no point carrying it on.

For those interested.

I have been on it a good while and no issues at all, gamne looks great to me and the colours really work, not ground breaking but then it isn't crippling my performance but as a bit of a FO3 fan, I likey a lotty :D

That's so annoying. We're there any day 1 patches? I'm planning to buy this when I get home as I've seen the sli fix. Are these glitches quite prevalent?
What's being described there is an engine limitation, rather than a glitch. Gamebryo/Creation Engine titles have issues when running at >60fps due to the physics being tied to the framerate. Removing the cap causes all kinds of movement and physics issues. It was the same in Skyrim/New Vegas/etc and it's not something that will be fixed until they finally (finally) develop a new engine.

I hate to say it but...

I told you so! :p

From reading around, the game sounds incredibly buggy, some people can't even change their res. without having to do it via a config file lol......

This & batman arkham knight is exactly why I never pre-order games now, no matter how much you love the franchise, why reward developers for launches like this?

It's really not as bad as you think, or as bad as you have been told.

I'm 3.5 hours in now and apart from one slowdown in the Corvega factory the game has been running perfectly. Good load times (OCZ ARC 100) and no crashes at all.

Just taking a break now to fill up with coffee and juice for my cig and I will be back in. Really enjoying it so far, just wish I could repair my power armor.

Will you be shuvving a vid up later greg ? Looking forward to hearing your thoughts.

Surprised so many people having issues.

I have god rays turned off myself and guess what, the game runs very nice with everything else maxed out at 4k :D

Dare I say well done AMD? lol. Now get those crimson drivers and crossfire working! :p

Well it seems to another game where some have issues and some don't.

Batman arkham knight with kaiden's tool worked great "for me" in terms of fixing performance issues especially on my pretty old PC.... but it didn't work for everyone :(

Works perfect for me. What people seem to forget is that a hell of a lot of people have bought this and the people who are not having problems are playing it and not posting on forums. You wont hear from the people are not having issues because they are sucked into playing it. Just finishing up my chores and I will giving it a good 12 hours today! :)

What I will say is,the game has a strange stutter when looking around using a controller. Its fine with a KB and M but the fact the game is so long and I use VATS means I'm good with playing this with my Elite controller or I would be. To be fair,Skyrim and the last Fallout were the same as my mates all want to play on controller when they come round

In your underwear i hope. Man of your word!
