Fallout 4 to feature Nvidia Gameworks

On the other hand look at the massive fps drops when changing resolutions on nvidia cards (looking at 980ti and fury x)
980ti goes from 125>84>41
Fury x goes from 90>61>33

Now if AMD comes up with drivers which brings fury x close to 980ti at 1080p, it will most likely jump in front on higher resolutions.

The percentage drop is roughly equal on both (~ 32%/32% & ~ 50%/46%).

That's because it's at 60fps when you're probably used to playing at a higher framerate. I uncapped my framerate and turned off mouth smoothing and things felt much more snappy. Not had any issues with high fps bugging out the physics yet.

I did the same and yep, G-Sync at its finest but if I used a terminal, I was stuck :(

Might have a try again and see if it is better now that I am well away from the vault.

So glad I didnt pre-order now. This is not what a new game should be like. It sounds as though it could be good but those bugs are not just bugs they are rooted in an old **** poor engine that should have been superseded for this version of the game.

This is what pre-ordering gets you and there doesnt seem to be the will to stop it happening. I'll hold off and get it when it's a bit less screwed up.
:(

If it was an AMD DX12 game you'd have pre ordered before you could say Huddy is our hero.

I would've pre-ordered an AMD sponsored game or a Nvidia sponsored game. History so far has shown that WAY more AMD sponsored games have been very well optimised, Nvidia however has a penchant for choosing to partner up with worse developers. i.e. Ubisoft. :p

Would be nice to have a game that has both TressFX and HairWorks implemented, would prove or disprove any of the theories some people on here come up with.

This! +1

AMD sponsored games end up performing well on both sides. Even nVidia usually has the lead in AMD sponsored titles and AMD are right up there with them. Nvidia sponsored titles are well.. give the impression of being unoptimised, nVidia results all over and AMD results are just well, below par! And people wonder why some people think nVidia have a agenda and purposely cripple AMD cards LAWL

And there's the problem! nVidia have deeper pockets and end up being able to sponsor more games, e.g pay them and get their proprietary software bundled in the deal! This is why we are seeing more nerfed games these days and why Gameworks has earned the name Gimpworks.

Lol at some People moaning about no xfire or no sli support when some of them dont have 2 cards

If i had 2 cards with my current monitor i wouldn't give 2 hoots.

If i was on a 4k monitor then maybe i would be a tad unhappy but i would not have 2 780's i would have 2 furys or 2 980ti's which run the game pretty well as a single card.

The game is brilliant for me so my pre order was worth every £27 to me.

Well I'm sure it's annoying to spend the money and hassle on having dual GPU's only for them to not be fully utilized.

That said, we know the state of dual GPU usage nowadays, so people who expect it in every game are being unrealistic. Just because you bought some specific, minority-held PC configuration doesn't mean that everybody should suddenly accommodate you or they're trash.

It should come with the territory, quite frankly. Optimizing for a range of hardware and software configurations on PC is already a pain in the butt for developers(seriously, it really is), so the people who cry about lazy devs or bad ports because they dont have every PC-specific feature option under the sun running well are being ridiculous.

Sorry was this in reference to me? I only play at 60 as my 4K monitor is locked at 60. Just not sure why G-sync isn't working.

It's running perfectly for me Gsync on v-sync off, few little ini tweaks. 80 - 100 fps avg maxed 1440 :D

With v-sync off I get screen tearing galore as g-sync doesn't work at all.
