Fallout 4 VR

+1 a thousand times.

MechWarrior Online has been such a wasted opportunity. MechWarrior 5 with full VR and HOTAS implementation would be my ideal VR game!

Just imagine it, full hotas support and vr you have 2 joysticks and foot pedals to for movement, I would live in that game...

I just played Archangel and I quite enjoyed it....even though technically it is on rails as you dont move the mech...it moves itself kinda thing and you just move the arms and head, choose weapons, fire guns n rockets and shoot planes tanks and rocket silos etc...

Without official Rift support I'll probably just wait it out for some decent mods or something and a bit of a price drop.

I'm loathe to spend full price on a rehashed game that doesn't quite work as intended because of a legal dispute.

I bought a Rift, used, because of the price. Not because of any brand loyalty.

Here’s a cached copy of a deleted article by uploadvr regarding the playability of Fallout4 VR on the Oculus Rift. Rift owners (like myself) may want to hold of the from pressing that pre purchase button, sadly.

Now I’m not an expert by any means in coding and game develpment, but the article, to me, suggests Bethesda have gone out of there way to actively make it as difficult as possible for Oculus Rift’s Touch controllers to work, surely it couldn’t of taken more than an hours work to make the touch controller work on the dam main menu.. but that just my own interpretation of the article.

VR should have no exclusives on any platform, We need VR to be as accessible as possible for everything, Vive stuff should work on thew Rift and Rift stuff should work on the Vive, The same goes for the more mobile stuff, If it is VR capable then it should work on any VR device, As long as the required computer horsepower is there of course.

Absolutely agree, I see PC VR as computer gaming peripheral, not as desperate platforms akin to consoles, that’s why I game on PC, it’s supposed to be open. Oculus should open its store up, maybe lock dash 2.0 to Rift users, but open its store up to other headsets as a separate gaming client, we have all become accustomed as pc gamers to running Origin etc for some companies own IP’s, oculus should be doing the same. Maybe when the HTC knuckle controllers arrive it may happen, as there will more of control scheme parity.

It's 6:30 am, and fallout 4 VR is downloading. I am off work today as I have a hospital appointment at 4 pm.

Right, that's me sorted for today :D

Let us know what you think - I've been watching a video and it looks weird, no shadows?Flashing textures and apparently it looks blurry.. - edit* there's a fix, turn taa off in Nvidia panel. According to Reddit.

Mod support is there,I think. Again just quick looked up on Reddit.

But the big problem for me. Scopes don't work! I wanted to play as a sniper, sneaking about. Damn Bethesda charging premium for lame vr conversion :/

Recalibration sorted the problem, I tried Tomb raider VR a few days ago and my head was the same height as the chandeliers.

Initial impressions are it's very good, love bashing radroaches with the baton.
