Fallout New Vegas, What mods y'all running??

DOwnloaded the CONELRAD 640-1240 - Civil Defense Radio mod. Excellant fan made radio station Hosted by Katrina, the station plays 55 music tracks from the era of the
Atomic Threat, including 29 authentic public service announcements from
Civil Defense Washington.

LOADS of recommended mods!
http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1561991

Also

EXTENDED FREE PLAY AFTER MAIN QUEST COMPLETION!

EXAMPLE choice 3

This is the biggest part of the mod. It will change existing NPCs based on who you helped (House, NCR, Legion or Indy), change territory occupancy, add new NPCs in certain locations, unlock a plethora of quests for you entertainment (or for you to ignore), and more. Essentially, this option will continue the game as if the Hoover Dam Battle actually happened, with your choices affecting the Mojave both instantly, and throughout the quests. Please note that if you destroyed the Legion, all quests tied to that faction will fail. The same goes for defeating the NCR, or both if you went Indy.

thanks Neil there's some great looking mods mate i will have to give most of them a try when i get the time I've been trying get some playtime all day and things just keep stopping me :(

Darnified UI
Slower Level Rates 1.5x
Realistic Death and Dismemberment
Inventory Sorters

I like to play vanilla with improvements, but not big sweeping changes.

I like the comment on that "25 best mods" page for the Lethal Headshot mod:

I’d also like to give a special mention to the commenter on the Fallout: New Vegas Nexus who suggested that this mod should cause the game to end after the first cinematic (where you get shot in the face).

Conelrad radio is brilliant
A must have

it's been a while since my last update but i have quite busy lately, i've managed to get a little game time and also a little time to try new mods

this pic shows a couple of the mods i've been using Unlimited Companions and NCR Black Ops Stealth Armor

me and my crew doing a spot of shopping @ Mick and Ralfs
FalloutNV2010-11-1323-32-49-27.jpg

the NCR armour is a little overpowered but it looks cool and has no NCR or other faction tags

Better Casinos
up's the betting limit ect, it varies depending on the casino with the ultra lux having the highest bet and payout :)

i've also tried **** as i was a big fan of the fallout 3 version, unfortunatly i had a few problems with it (i think it might be because i started using it about 30 hours in and not with a fresh game) so i'll give it another try when i start a new one hopefully by then there will be a newer version out by then

there's also a new (official) FOMM that works great and as an added bonus it works with Fallout 3 and New Vegas

and last but not least for this update the new and improved Official Pipboy Readius - New Vegas Edition it needs FOSE (fallout script extender) and removes all the problems there is with the old one from the OP

also seems the official patch has caused a few problems with the game so i would say if your still running the unpatched game i would stick for a while most of the bugs that are fixed in the patch are also fixed by the modders without causing the CTDs that the official patch has caused this is much the same as what happened with fallout 3 when it first come out, thank god for the modders lol

anyway thats all folks i will add more when i get time to play and all :) there are now 2204  total files and counting on the nexus so check them out and if you find a cool one let the rest of us know :)

Some great mods cheers! Can't beleive how much difference that d3d9.dll has made. Before it was stuttery all of the time, now I've got everything maxed out at 8x FSAA and it's smooth. In the NV laucncher options, it says 7900GS even though I have 2 GTX260s lol

Hey all i have tried to get MTUI to work to cut the scrolling in speech and options but can't seem to do it. I've tried just extracting it to the fallout nv folder like it says but it didn't work.

is it worth me trying this mod load order thing cause their is a possibility i might decide on some other mods too.

I just really ain't sure what i'm doing!!

Afaik, MTUI doesn't have what is called an esp or esm (the things listed in the load order like FalloutNV.esm). It overwrites some things and changes others with a simple paste into the data folder.
If you where going to grab some more mods Fallout Mod Manager-New Vegas is a must, and as a general rule;

ESM's at the top (any mods with ESM at the end)
Weather ESM's below that
And ESP's after all ESM's
With weather ESP at the bottom

One sure way of getting a clean install is to use FOMM-NVs (Fallout mod manager-New Vegas) package manager, it will install mods safely with the option of either deactivating or un-installing mods completely. But things like texture/mesh mods (MTUI and update texture/meshes mods) have to be pasted into you NV folder to overwrite files and add others and as they dont have esp they can't be controlled by FOMM-NV.

Hope that helps
