Fallout: New Vegas

Just started on DLC at level 11 - although it advises to be level 20 but I managed to kill the first bad-guy I came across, I don't think I'll manage the rest of it and I could do with levelling my stats up.

Is it an improvement on Fallout 3?

I love both games so wouldn't really say either is better. They're more or less the same games, just in different settings and with different stories/missions. If you liked Fallout 3, New Vegas is certainly worth a punt at £13. I did find New Vegas to be less buggy that its predecessor, though.

I've mostly enjoyed Vegas but its horrifically buggy for me, I save before opening the pipboy as probably 8 out of 10 times this causes a crash for me. Fallout 3 fully patched was bug free for me, was on release as well but some of the middle patches broke the game on my pc.

Not enjoyed the DLC was an absolute grind, although it took me a while to do, not so good when your finding the quests a chore.

Even with its flaws its still a good game and better if it runs without problems, I've played through more than once even though I'm suffering crashes allover.

Honest Hearts now available :D

Not to keen on it so far though :( But then Dead money didn't get interesting until you were in the casino, just hoping it picks up!

never had Pipboy crash normaly crash when entering a building or just starting
the game ;/

I'm enjoying this so far, but i'm starting to struggle with firefights. It seems that the only way to be really good in a fight in this game is to either go heavy melee brawler or a sniper.

I'm specced out to be a thief essentially, with a focus on stealth and small firearms and i'm getting mauled in near every fight because staying stealthed is so hard due to enemies needing a good 10 or so shots to the head with a silenced .22, even with sneak attack bonus. Before this most fights were still a case of 'find dude, take out shotgun, backpeddle and fire'.

Am I missing something?
