Are you serious?
it shares a lot of the same textures etc most of the fo3 ones should be compatible with a few changes.
you could use the old stalker packs on their sequels etc, some new textures wouldn't be affected but most where.

My PC version has arrived, but Steam wont even let me install it until friday, should have got the 360 version
Even worse i go away on friday for a week.
Well ive got it all installed and running. First impressions, it looks very Dated, but its still quite fun
Oh, and i had to turn off the radio as it was causing a lot of irritating stuttering.
Like you say, Ill have to dig out one of those mods, the extra texture resolution would be good.
Get Fallout 3 GotY edition. You can get it much cheaper than FO:NV and the gameplay is basically the same for both. Sat watching a video isn't really the same thing as playing it. It can be very atmospheric, more so with mods that give it some proper weather patterns or make it darker at night. Theres no HOLY ****ING **** moment quite like walking through the wasteland for a Yao Guai to leap on you from behind... or having to stop what you were doing and head back to a doctor because you can't heal your concussion (seriously those things give me a headache they're so effective).
i like the graphics the style is pretty good once theres some nice high res texture mods it should look pretty damn nice.
its a pitty the lighting engine is pretty non existant but i guess it is primarily a console game...
