Fallout TV series being developed by Amazon

This was entirely random on my Youtube recommendations.

Fallout setting provides an absolutely epic backdrop. This can easily be the next big thing going or become a complete flop like the LOTR thing they did.

That guy out of the hateful 8 was incredible in that so I do hold a little bit of hope. Then again the female lead seems a bit tick box so I guess it will be a fine balance to whether this will be good or not.

I do hope it is as shows have been pretty dire for good couple of years now.

Aren't a lot of films like that though? I seem to remember James Cameron commentary on making Aliens being a nightmare but that ended up okay. I do agree Amazon does have history though.

No, you’ve got the wrong end of the stick, insiders are saying the series is a steaming pile of mess not that it was a nightmare to make.
 
I think I will pass judgement until after I watch it. Tried looking on the channel to see what was said,but I don't see Fallout mentioned anywhere.

I've never played the games but I'm aware of them so I have no pre-conceived ideas but, and its a big but - its got Walton Goggins in it and he is both massively talented yet at the same time criminally under-rated by so many folks that just his inclusion is enough to make this interesting to me.
