I try to be fair but the reason I'm an UB and not a mod is because I'm not quite there in terms of fairness and judgement, although another UB to replace nokkon in consoles would be handy as I obviously can't be on here all the time.

You have your opinions, but who doesn't tbh? As i say i feel you are fair no matter your own view on the situation, if someone is being a numpty you call them out and that's what matters to me... even if you are a smash bros fanboy *grumble*

I have been a victim of this...

I simply said in a post "I bought the 360 because of its simplicity. It seemed easier to play online and hook up with mates for a laugh. Where as the PS3 seems serious about everything it does..." either way, I'm not fused.

BUT, I then got slated by 15 year old PS3 fanboys arguing that the PS3 is a million times better than the 360 online? I mean come on! My personaly opinion of why I... I! bought the 360 doesnt mean that i hate the ps3 simply because i didnt like what it offered.

Just get rid of the pathetic children and all will be well tbh

I used to love the playground arguments the silly kids with only one console used to have. Actually this sub forum often reminds me of those :p
 
Snes is most definately better than the megadrive.

I mean come on

Mario > Sonic
Metroid > Stryder
Zelda LTTP > Shining Force
Snes Pad > Megadrive Pad

haven't read the thread, nor the e3 ones due to being very busy lately

That said, in the past few weeks I've noticed no fanboyism that isn't more than just playful banter

We've had these threads before, there's no stopping it, though we can help to cut it out by just not rising to it...

No not all degrees are the same.

a 1st is higher than a 2nd

A 1st from Thickos Polly is the same level of qualification as a 1st From Oxford. I don't disagree there is a level of prestige involved with getting a 1st from Oxford and I don't disagree that an Oxford Degree will open doors that a degree from thickos Polly won't but that's not to do with the qualification.

However a 1st is a 1st wherever it comes from.

As Degrees are externally adjudicated and have to meet a certain defined criteria in order be marked at the given levels; standard degree, 3rd, 2:2, 2:1, 1st. With all the advantages that going to a top university brings, in terms of quality of tutors, experience in molding young minds, money available to the institution, and the ability to pick the best available students to ensure the Universities good name is maintained. I'll take my statement 1 further*. I'd say its harder to get a 1st from Thicko's Polly as you are at a greater disadvantage to begin with, and therefor a greater achievement.
