Played my wildcard now (8 changes), without Ronaldo really free up cash for lots of other good players !

The team I have now is decent even with a good subs bench !

Tell me about it, once I transfered Ronaldo, I had loads of cash to transform my team :D

Here is what it looks like for Gameweek 3. Many changes from Gameweek 1.

Can't believe so many have used their wildecards already! I used mine the last day of the season last year, I won 3/5 leagues because of it!
I used it after week 8 or so and won 2/2 leagues with it, so theres no "right" time to use it.

I used mine this early because i have injuries/suspensions to 4 of my players which are out for next 2 weeks minimum. And the subs bench was rubbish, 2 of them not regulars. Simply put, I can't afford to play 2/3 weeks with 7 players, so for me it is the right time to play it. Besides, I think the team is much more balance now, instead of relying on points coming from the big players like Lampard/Ronaldo/Drogba.

It was either that or forfeit 12 points in my case with Ronaldo out for 3 games and Berbatov injured for god knows how long. I also needed to remove one of my Chelsea defenders before the game against Liverpool as well.

So you are saying you won leagues "almost" without it?

Most people in my leagues used theres around Xmas time, I kept my team similar throughout the season just using the free sub or losing points, the last day of the season obviously teams rest players so I changed my whole team and got a shed load of points for it.

Im thinking exactly like that.

With 3 of my players injured or suspended for the next 2 weeks or even more, as Ray said, I cant really afford to hang onto the players and go the couple of weeks without changing my team.

Now, I have an overall better side than just relying on a couple of big named players that cost a fortune to get me points.

Ive seen how people are performing atm, some players currently are doing very well and others have yet to shine but thier time will come.

To me, it was the correct time to use my wildcard. Atleast I havnt fallen further back down the league at this early stage.

That makes sense, I hear where you are coming from.

Come to the end of the season, everyone might be the in same boat, having to change players as teams are resting key players for other competitions etc.

It just depends if your far enough in the front of other teams, so if you do make changes you can afford to make them without slipping down the table.

May be thats why the first time i played when when i only made 1 transfer for the first 4 months up to Christmas I was 3rd in my league......

You'll regret that..............I hope :)

I used my wildcard because of the above, injuries and suspensions, also I had 2 players in my starting 11 who for some reason were not regulars which was annoying. So I had to fix that.

I currently have Dunne in defense and Nosworthy on the bench. Do you reckon it is worth swapping them around for this weekend seeing as Sunderland have Wigan and City have Utd? More chance of Nosworthy getting points against Wigan isn't there?
