FAO W3bbo................help!

That was a guess as to why he singled out W3bbo.

Posts like these alienate the overclocking community.

This thread should be closed.

We don't need another help clock my Q6600 thread.

There is a dedicated clocking thread for this subject.

This thread reeks of laziness tbh.

I know, I said that are many others on here that would be able to help him in my first post to this thread. Someone asked why W3bbo, I answered why I thought he picked him. A quick look in the Q6600 database shows they are many other guys with them very highly clocked.

Indirectly yeah, :p

We maybe have fallen out.

But as you know both of us can be professional enough to have enough repect for each other in the overclocking community.;)

You have complimented me on my overclocking skills in the past I have no reason for those sentiments not to be resipricated.

There is allot of love in this thread :p

Correct, but I think the thread title should be re-named to Q6600 and Striker Ii extreme or something like that.

Overclocking a Q6600 on this board is a lot harder than doing it on other boards. This board is highly temperemental, and therefore I think he should have his own thread. But I agree, the that thread title doesn't give the thread justice.

Also, W3bbo helped out AndyOCuk with his GTL timings on this board, and that's maybe why he asked for his help? Dunno, just a guess.

Come on Easy, no need for aggression, the guy was just asking for help and didn't want his post to be lost in the 1000's of posts in the 'official' thread, as useful as it is. He has tried, he has failed, he's asked for help, other folk and I gave it and now (iirc) he's sitting pretty on his 3.6 (or was it 3.8?) overclock. Job done.

Until the sticky gets updated, peeps are gonna be asking for info like this, I'm sure he meant no harm by it.

I Wasn't being aggressive.

Overclocking needs research and communication with others in the community.

The OP and the title just suggest to me:

"Seen w3bbos sig, I know I'll ask him" sort of thing.

This alienates other regular ocuk members with very high levels of knowledge who like me offer advice and tips to people on a regular basis.

I'm glad he's sorted but the forums do become stale quickly if people just post help me overclock over and over again.

Thousands are subscribed to the Q6600 overclocking thread and of course he would have been inundated with help.

Thats all.

I have no problem with you holding a grudge.

I however have moved on and have forgiven and forgotten.:)

Do I detect a dent to your ego?

It's hardly alienating other members is it....if someone had asked for your help, I would not feel alienated and I doubt 99.9% of the forums wouldn't either:shrugs:.

Not at all.

Collective over singular is not only better for the community its better for the forum.

Anyway,as I have said. I'm glad the got the clock speed he wanted.

:)

Peace:cool:
