Blast I was thinking of the sport version.

10.8 is still pretty good though.

About right for a first car, but how often do you do a balls-out 0-60?

learnt to drive 17-18, passed the day after my 18th.

so,

18 = 1.1 Pug 205, Clio 1.4, Escort 1.3
19 = 205 XS (1.4 85bhp)
20 = 205 1.8D, Rover 214

Currently driving a 1.6 205 GTi, insurance is a very reasonable £689 TPFT. As soon as I'm 21, its Mi16 time :cool:

how much is the insurance out of interest?

well i transferred my existing policy from my old astra when i got it and paid 200 quid, and the policy renews on the 8th of august and quotes with churchill (current insurer) and showing about 1300 fully comp, but i'll ring em up on the day, as it always seems to be cheaper when i ring them :)

I just turned 18 btw
pic of it for the hell of it :)

My first car at 17 was a Fiat Bravo 1.4sx and at 21 it's still the same. I paid half and my parents loaned me the other half (although i've only paid £250 back in 3+ years :p)

My parents pay all my fuel costs and my insurance. Partly because I do a fair few miles working for my dad's business. Although I do get paid for that.

I plan to keep it as long as possible. Hopefully until i've qualified as a solicitor and I can upgrade to something extra special. Here's hoping.

It's been a great first car; i've bashed into curbs, mounted curbs and reversed into concrete pillars in car parks and it's still going strong.

Ahh good you got the climate pack. :) Now just get rid of the standard head unit, you can improve even the stock speakers loads by getting a good head unit. As your's has wheel controls you will need to get an adapter for it, but would be worth it. Or you could amp the speakers...

Also want to make your engine sound better? See the airbox behind the battery? I can see it has a resonator box which comes off to the right hand side of the air box. All you need to do is loosen the screws on the airbox, then pull the airbox up at an angle. Don't worry it just pulls right out of the rubber mounts. Then pull the small box out, push the airbox back into place. Don't forget to tighten the screws again on the airbox. Thats it. Now rev it and hear the difference, don't worry about the hole, the air is still being all filtered.

Also you can go and detango the car too, it is possible to get rid of the orange circles in the front light clusters.

Yeah Im going to detango the car, getting some rs/st side repeaters, atm im trying to get the footwell lighting to work. Also im a member of focusowners.com so im gonna put the stickers on the back windows later.
