FAO Young drivers (17-18)

17 - Triumph Dolomite 1850HL auto, 90BHP
17 - 1979 Dolomite Sprint MOD, 180BHP
18 - 1980 Dolomite Sprint MOD, 127BHP
20 - 1971 Triumph 1500, 160BHp (ironically the most difficult to drive, great fun!)

Few other odds and sods inbetween and I can't remember how old I was when I had the twin '45 Sprint, 'cept it was during a summer holiday.

I see no theme here. Honest :p

Insurance went 1800, 550, 600 (had both Sprints on a temp. policy). 1st year's NCB on the 1850 caused it to drop to 550, as I only sold that at the start of this year :)

At 18 I had a 1997 black 2.5ltr v6 Omega

Me2, winnar first car. Not too fast to be dangerous, but fast enough that it will beat all your mates at the time and makes a beautiful cruiser. Also get little niggles like heated seats and other toys not found on smaller cars.

17... 1996 1.3 Fiesta Finesse
18... 1997 1.6 Rover 400i
19... 2002 Ford Focus 1.6 Zetec Climate

I'll be keeping the focus until I'm 21 then I'll be hoping to pick up a decent used Focus ST.

17 - Citeron AX 1.0. Boy it was slow.
19 - Austin Maestro 1.3. Boy it was slow
22 - Fiesta Zetec S. A little faster but wished I'd spent my 4k on something bigger.

18 - 1.6 Escort / 1.6 Escort / Rover 214
19 - Cavalier 1.8 / Xsara 1.8 / Mondeo 2.0

19 - BMW 330i Sport

I felt the latter deserved its own age, despite being the same as three others, as I feel a lot older with it :p
