lol didnt even know this game was being made :p
i'm behind on what happened but i guess EA bought the crytek guys... ubisoft kept the farcry name.. and are using the name to help sell a game?
that said it doesnt look too bad at all, can tell it's in the early/unfinished stages still.

Graphics weren't impressive,

Its a multiplatform release so I'm not expecting much tbh. I hope they aren't porting it

Start of that clip I was thinking it was looking a little ropey, come the end though my faith was restored with explosions - very cool

Didn't like the first Far Cry though and didn't think much of Crysis either so sense should prevail and see me stay clear of this but I'll proberly get it on the basis that it looks pretty  :p

Wooo! another trailer going "look at all our wonderfull atmospheres, out amazing graphics, ultra realistic awsomeness and pretty eye candy!"

Am I missing something, or is FarCry 2 meant to be a Film? Does anybody make games designed around good gameplay anymore? I smell a rival to Crysis, which will mean exceptionally pretty graphics but a hollow and boring game...

Can all the NEGATIVE Posters in this thread and that other thread ( http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=17872880 ) tell what a game is going to be like thats unfinished and going by a few Teaser Trailers ?.

No, im not atall suggesting that the game is definately going to be like I said. What concerns me is that in this early stage all they want to be able to show and tell us is how pretty it is. They are obviously designing a game that had the brief of "look amazing" and are clearly trying to sell it as that. all initial interest is based upon the info they give us, which, is all "pretty pretty pretty"

It would just be a refreshing change for someone to make a game and right from the begining say "this is going to have some of the best gameplay ever!"

It's multiplatform release, so by default it will look less than impressive as final product. No console port, ever, to date, looked or played as well as native PC game. Now, consider this is also PS3 release and you just know it's going to be a lot of trouble.

COD4? Bioshock? In fact what on earth are you talking about? Look at the latest Killzone 2 vid to see what level of graphics the PS3 is capable of.

Bioshock was pretty poor as PC game. Visually it was nothing to write home about either. COD4 wasn't console port, if memory serves me correctly it was developed by separate team, then made into console game by another. Best console port was probably Chronicles of Riddick, but still no carrot.

Multiplatform port, we'll be looking at something along the lines of R6 Vegas or Area51. And that was really uninspiring. "It doesn't look that good to run so bad" syndrome.
