Far Cry 3 Thread

Is they anything I can change to make draw distance better? am playing on almost ultra settings and getting very good FPS but the draw distance on this game is shocking.
Looking across any distance on 200m and its just plain green, lots of pop-ins also.
 
First impressions after about 100 minutes are very, very good. Stonking opening, it looks the business, and it plays really well. Only thing annoying me is the finicky menus.

Go back to the page you made the order with click on
Activation: Worldwide with Ubisoft (no VPN)
and it will download farcry download manager


And when it asks you to put in the key make sure its all in caps and with the -


anyone with 5850 this runs fine all settings high apart from shadows which i set to low
hits 50fps but most times around the 35fps never goes lower

Completely agree! Im using a controller via tv so menus are ok but still a tad off!

Hope crossfire gets fixed soon though, really want it to run as im sure it should! Not bad but get microstuttering with 2 6950s
 
I've turned mouse acceleration OFF
Sensitivity is at the furthest left so that it's not even showing

But why is the mouse still very fast? I'm only playing at 2400dpi and Windows Pointer speed is at 5. :confused:

Then after a game of MP finishes I get Far Cry 3 has stopped responding.

Also even though i'm getting 100fps + in multiplayer it feels so choppy, what can I do to fix that?

Think the choppy feeling in MP is server lag this game has couple performance issue me thinks.

Oh, just like the Crocodiles? Hmm, I was worried they'd eat me but if it's a quicktime event that doesn't harm you maybe I'll swim out to sea and close my eyes. :D
 
lol yeah the crocs ...iwas aving a little swim trying to stay away from the tigers that were chasing me and thinking to me self wouldnt it be cool if there was crocs then bam out of no were a croc takes me after a bit of a wrestle, i skinned it...the game is full of surprises its awesome...gfx wise the island its self is very nice but its the sub trippy levels with in the game that are fantastic

Setting up ambushes is very satisfying!

Been a great end to what I had previously considered a mediocre gaming year. With this, Hitman, Dishonored, Mark of The Ninja and X-Com released in the last few months:)
 
FRAPS is telling me my frames are capped at 30? is it just being weird or have I enabled some setting?

Frames wont go over 30 no matter what I do..

any help appreciated!
 
:mad: There was a patrol with two prisoners walking along. I attacked them, but didn't have a silenced weapon. They killed one before I could do anything, and the other ran away and hid behind a rock. I took care of the patrol, and the backup(which came very promptly:rolleyes:).....then went to get my reward, only to find him being eaten by a bear!
