Hi mate, thanks for that. I actually have the game downloaded. It's on my PC when I run it uplay opens and does nothing other than log me in :/
 
With a 6950 2GB I have to play the game in DX9 mode in order to get anything close to 60FPS (55). Hopefully the Beta drivers will help.

not sure havent reached that stage yet as currently downloading.

Well.. I finally got it working, I kept opening the dx11 exe from the folder, terminating uplay and all services and done that on and off for 2 hours and now it's working lol
 
The shadow I mentioned earlier around the npc was caused by ssao. I used that other one (hdoa?) and now by gpu is running hot around 70. Never had it go that high before. :eek:

It's the best looking game I've seen so far. :D
 
Wouldn't say it's best looking game I have played. It looks nice but things in the distance look really ugly I think. Grass only render a couple feet away from the player making distant hills look flat.
 
Got my order confirmation now when I ordered on the 26th. No CD key yet..

Is the crack available on your usual torrent sites to get it to play? I mean I ordered this game 4 days ago and only now I've had confirmation of order so I'm not confident I'll be able to play this weekend legitimately.

is there more than one version you can download. Do they all come as delux and its just your code that unlocks it ? I cant tell if I have the right version of the game as I dont see any dlc. I put my code in, in the extras menu and it did say something had unlocked ??
 
Reading through this thread is making me smile at how simple it used to be to play a game back in the Quake 2/Half life days.. Buy a big box with game on CD in it.. install from CD and play..

None of this different versions and different versions yet again depending where you bought it.. None of this "I can't open it" or "why do i end up with 21 gig of space taken up for a 7 gig game" or "god damn the ubisoft service isn't working again"
Amazing how many people are struggling to install and run it no wonder they make games that lead you by the hand from the opening intro..

I'm playing it on my PC but wondering why all these "training stabiliser wheels" console prompts and messages are popping up on screen constantly :)

Must be because the games developers are scared if they make it too hard to play then people won't buy it and they won't make millions from it ?

Anyway, just skinned a lot of animals and now off to play a real mans game Planetside2..
