Far Cry 3 Thread

I've completed the game, got all outposts, downloaded the new patch but cant see any options anywhere to reset outposts, am I missing something?

Just me being thick. You have to be in the game, hit esc and then options.:D

Me as well  only found it after seeing your post :D it does however say the option to reset is only available when you complete the game & ALL the side quests,

Probably a bit lte to the party, but I bought this yesterday on Steam and it seems ok so far :)

I played single player for about half an hour, but I didn't have much time and was getting a bit bored of the first bit (like most games, it's essentially tutorial for the first section). Wanting to actually play the game, I fired up multi player.

It's pretty good fun! Nothing particularly original, but the weapons feel nice, and there are some nice touches like reviving team mates, the detailed kill-cam and I really like the match summary where you can watch the top player on the winning team doling out some personal punishment/mercy to the top player of the defeated team.

Think I'll jump on tonight and have another go - I'll also give the single player some more attention when I can devote the time to it. Anyone else play online regularly?

I recently bought the retail CD of Far Cry 3.

The game so far isn't doing anything for me and I'm just not enjoying it. I don't suppose I'm able to sell it on am I? Is it tied with UPlay?

Far Cry 3 save game question...

Hi all,

Anyone know whether its possible to start a new game in Far Cry 3, but as a separate profile to the one you used to complete the game? i.e. be able to select either the 'complete' profile, or the 'new' profile?

I am wary of starting the game again if I then can't access the game from my first play through profile - since now that they've added the enemy base reset option, its good to keep that profile for a bit of fun.

Any input appreciated.

Hello guys,

Having a problem with my Far Cry 3 :( Installed earlier, and I seem to crash really quickly? I was "creeping" past the guards at the beginning of the game and it just crashed, screen black and a buzz noise through headphones. Had to force off PC.

So I then turned settings down to the medium preset and played co-op with my friend. Seems to last slightly longer but again, same sort of crash.

I have no idea why this is happening, my spec is in my sig. I have taken my OC off too. It is just the standard clock my Gigabyte 7850 came with (975, 1200 I think)

Cheers,
cam,

Managed to play for an hour just now, I turned the directX down to 9. Seems to work. Everything is on low, and I am using DirectX 9 but I am still happy. Looks great and at least I can play the game.

I love it <3

Far Cry 3 worth buying???

Im considering buying this game, having played first one quite some years ago and enjoyed it. Can anyone tell how the multiplayer is and are any issues?

Thanks

I really enjoyed the SP campaign (once you get past the initial hand-holding bit). There were a few niggles, but characters and story really drew me in, as well as being able to take time off from it to kick the crap out of baddies in the sandbox side bits. Looks good, plays well, good characters (Vas is such an awesome character). Worth it imo. Didn't bother with the mp myself

and boobs.

Yes it's good - got it for christmas and finished the SP in a month or so - just picked it back up last week to have a blast on the multiplayer - co-op is very similar to L4D, except you level up/unlock new weapons etc. normal multiplayer is the usual, deathmatch etc, again levelling up to unlock weapons, scopes, silencers, etc.

Are the enemies "Ultra-sensitive" in the 3rd (or even all) like they are in the first one?
I got all 3 in the sale recently and going through the 1st atm.

Playing the stealth game is a nightmare, even on normal mode. What's the point in giving you a knife when you can't even crawl crazy slow directly behind someone through jungle without them turning around and shooting you -_-

Loved FC1 (until the monsters turned up), then was disappointed by FC2.

Picked up FC3 recently, and am loving playing in stealth. there's nothing like scouting an outpost, getting ready to prepare an ambush only to be foiled by a hiding tiger.

Bought it the other week when it was on offer - really glad I did, one of the best shooters I've played for a long time. The AI was a little dopey in places but it was a fair compromise and still made for some decent challenges in the main. Story was good, and graphically it made a nice change to be playing in a tropical paradise, it's actually quite beautiful. :)

Awesome gonna get guys, thanks for the responses quite surprised that loads of u just play single but haven't touch multiplayer lol
