Far Cry 4 due this November

I ordered my CD Key from G2Play this morning (Limited Edition version) for £32 and it arrived to my email within minutes, I activated it through Uplay 20 minutes ago without a problem (and the Limited Edition add on key too) and it's downloading as we speak... 4.6 MB/s & 90 mins to go! :) To download it through Uplay you need to activate the code via Activate Product in the Settings and it will then automatically be added to your games library ready for you to download.

I've been waiting for this game all year and I'm really excited to get started on it, I probably won't play on it much tonight as I've got other things to do but put it this way - it's going to write off most of my weekend lol!

I updated the drivers and played for about an hour.

It now runs very well except for stuttering when driving. I can't run at 4x AA settings as it really tanks FPS, but with the Nvidia preset then reducing to 2x TXAA it holds 60fps most of the time.

This is the first game I've seen the overclock on the GTX 970 make a big difference. At standard clocks it was doing about 55fps with 99% GPU usage. With 1500/8000 overclock most of the time it's at about 85% usage on both cards while doing 60fps.

The graphics are really good though. The textures aren't amazing and the fur looks really strange but the overall look is excellent. All except for one thing. It gets really dark. At some points I couldn't really even see where I was going. Aside from this, it's a big step up from Far Cry 3 in graphic quality.
 
Im waiting for it to come to UK steam.. theres just something about me that will be annoyed OCD wise if i dont get it to complete the collection in my steam library
 
Just found out about the alternate ending to my suprise!

It seems if you idle at the start of the game you get taken to a short ending which explains some things about the characters which may spoil the story.
 
Been playing with the new 14.11.2 beta drivers installed that were released today. It does help with the stutter but there still seems to be some though I don't have a FPS counter on so it might just be having my GFX too high. Anyone got good settings for an AMD 7950?
 
Anyone else having SLI issues?

Runs fine on one GTX 970 (at 1080p) but on two everything goes dark (almost like the shadows are very overpowering) and performance is also no better. Tried messing about with settings but nothing seems to solve the darkness issue and decided I'll stick to one card with this one for now.
