Far Cry 4 due this November

This is a pretty great game, massive world and entertaining. Getting 60+ fps from 7990 on max settings.

Played it for the first time and where the Crosshair reticule should be I had the windows blue loading circle.

Bloody nightmare.

Will try it again tomorrow.

Didn't have a joystick in at the time but did have virtual joystick (head tracking). Uninstalled that, worked first retry. Cheers!

Finally got it playable. Dropped textures to medium and off with AA. VSync on sparse mode @120hz gives 60 fps.

Everything else set to Nvidia preset.

Another stutter victim here, it's ruining the game for me I can't play it while its like this.

Hope someone finds a fix for it.

Not tried it yet but have you seen the Robocop gun (A.J.M.9) you can get for 30 uplay points in the rewards section in Uplay!

I'm going to go against my gut feeling based on stuff I've watched and feedback from some peeps here and order it. £27 on SCDK - The gameplay videos post day1 patch some guys posted do look glorious. I hate Uplay but I guess it will only be installed for the duration it takes to complete the game assuming I have no issues...

Yeah this is quite possibly it. I got some stutter even on low.

FOV slider numbers (picture)

1.00 = 75

1.23 = 90

Example : If like me you like 90 set bar to 3/4 full (if you count it in 1/4's).

I assume its Positive FOV going by numbers as 90 would look really fished eyed if Negative FOV

I use the nvidia setting but 4xTXAA causes stutter and frame drops. Lowered to SMAA as I think it looks better than 2xTXAA. Runs like a dream now.

Any AA kills it for me.

1920x1440p Nvidia Preset with AA off = 70-80FPS, Any type of AA and its 45ish FPS (talking in busy action scenes at start outside the house).

Need to see if my GPU yet supports MFAA and if it can work in this game using GFE.
